The only dumb thing about suppressors is the $200 tax and paperwork.

I think suppressors are not for everyone.
They're cool and all but I can understand people being disappointed with them if they're used to what Hollywood tells us about silencers. It's also completely stupid and shitbat insane what we as citizens have to go through to buy one. We oughta be able to buy these fucking things out of a vending machine as far as I'm concerned. That said I own several of them and like most of them. I think in most cases they're cool. Especially for the really quiet things, like rimfire or pistol caliber carbines. |

My take on suppressors FOR ANYTHING EXCEPT RIMGIRE .22 is why spend an additional $700 to shoot a gun that I still need hearing protection to shoot?
It's like when work required a covid vaccine, need a vaccine, but still need to wear masks. What's the point? |

Shooting a suppressed 10/22 at steel is the most fun you can have with your pants on.
I giggle every time I hear the ‘clack clack’ of the action cycling, and the ‘ping’ of the steel target. |

Only part of my tongue is in my cheek with that. The boy had a airsoft krinkov with a hotrodded motor that shot 400fps and 30rps. Shooting steel with it was a blast. Wasnt kidding when discussing the mp5sd. Totally underwhelmed. Completely unfun. But it would be tits and weenies if I was hunting bad guys. |

View Quote I cant build one as well as I can buy one for what I would have in it. Modern suppressors are leaps and bounds ahead of the old "tube with baffles". Lighter, stronger. The welded together baffle construction like on the Nomad takes special fixtures and I believe they are machine welded. So, much much more economical for me to make stuff like this for people with deep pockets and then pay cash for the can. Attached File |

9mm subsonic (especially in a pcc or something) and 22 are awesome. Rifles...don't seem that useful and just make the gun longer.
