Its fairly calm as of now, but it looks like 3-5 hours from now we could get a schwackin...
Not gonna be a good day tomorrow for us.

After the last few big storms and nearby tornados, my wife is demanding a shelter/safe-room.

That storm last night was pretty rowdy out here in west Pulaski Co. Lots of hail and it was coming sideways at the windows.

I have an inground out in back yard. It is better than nothing. I went and killed spiders a few hours ago. It has a leak with an inch of water in it. My next one will be safe room inside the house or inground under garage slab.

I need to build a shop with a mother-in-laws quarters in it, and I really want to put one of these underneath the slab when I build it.

Thompsons Station here, about 20 miles north of that location. We got a tornado siren but hardly any wind and only a moderate shower. There may be more on the way.

N Alabama, N GA, and C to E TN need to be tracking these storms tonight.

Several large tornadoes on the ground in that region and some are not warned as NWS is having a hard time keeping up.

I'm in Fayetteville, TN. We've been under a warning for a bit and it looks like the worst of it should be here within the next 20-30 minutes. There was a confirmed tornado in Ardmore, 13 miles SW of us. That's close to where @Merlin hangs his hat.

Yep, we got a lot of rain and some hail.  Won't see if we have any damage until tomorrow AM.  We got wind but no known tornado here; the hills around here tend to break them up.

Flash flooding is a major concern even for areas outside of the immediate tornado threat.

One of the storm chasers had people in his camera view of people driving throught swift moving water over the road. Extremely stupid and dangerous but people seemingly never learn until they get swept down into a torrential flow

Any ideas as to why my stupid NWS radio (midland wr400) refuses to display warnings? I have my location setup to the 3 counties around me. 2 bars of signal. That POS has never alerted me. Today, via local news, flood warning, server t storm warning, tornado watch, and tornado warning.

Also, my stupid local news is not live streaming the weather. Really??

I just went up I65 from exit 32 up to 53.  Exit 46 Columbia has no power.  I was going to stop to get something from the loves and it's just blacked out as far as you can see both ways.

The section on I65 I traveled (northbound) is clear and all of 396 westbound is fine also.
