I think DeSantis is a good Governor, but I wonder how much of the "He gets shit done" hype is shit that actually comes from the state legislators.
I mean, I see "DeSantis signed This into law", and "DeSantis signed THAT into law" all the time, but if it wasn't for the Florida Congress, he wouldn't have those bills to sign, would he? |

Why did he get in the race and then just do nothing is my question
I'd be fine to have a decent alternative to Trump but he got on the starting line and just sort of laid down best I can tell |

As long as you know it's satire, some miss that I am afraid! |

But he couldn't be the nominee because of, you know, little charisma and a poor TV presence. Forget accomplishments; those don't matter
The Republican voters are very wise |

I could definitely see Trump getting Whatley to kick DeSantis out. Trump has to be the center of attention and doesn't like being upstaged.

Ron is an effective Governor. That other Ron person running for President was reading a different script or something.

A good Executive coordinates, negotiates and leads the legislative branches into crafting laws and passing them so he can sign them into law. Seems DeSantis has a knack for that in FL. |

It's funny cause its mostly true. I'm sure 40-60% of the Republican Congress wish DeSantis just went away and if he or anyone like him makes it to DC they will undermine the shit out of him. DC first, to hell with America.

It is the fact that he was wearing lifts and they were incredibly obvious and awkward looking that people keyed on. Why tell half the story? I like DeSantis as far as politicians go, he is about as good as we will get, but he needs to work on his charisma or he will be the Republican Michael Dukakis. He has a bit too much big government social conservative aspect to him for me but it is far better than what the Democrats are pushing. Either way we continue to lose rights. I find the people that love DeSantis and hate Trump are disingenuous. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, both personally and ideologically but are still our best choices. |
