Snap-On ratchets. After using those cheap, sloppy ratchets that come with the socket set, picking up a Snap-On 3/8 ratchet is like Harry picking up the Phoenix tail feather wand.

All of our meat is delivered to the house from a farm. I’ve asked how much it is, but my wife suggested I don’t look

Fantastic meat and other products though, couldn’t be happier.

Boots, glasses, outer wear, clothes in general really.

Footwear, toothbrushes, mattresses, sunglasses, holsters.

When I quit going on the cheap on those my life vastly improved.  Walking around with foot pain is often remedied with good shoes.  Your teeth are the only ones you’ll get and directly impact your health.  You spend 1/3 your life in bed, may as well get a quality mattress.  Your eyes are irreplaceable, get lenses that provide protection from the sun and make you comfortable outside.  Carry like you mean it, get a quality holster.

Advice I passed along to my sons.

I spend hours perusing reviews and ratings for anything substantial I'm going to buy.  I figure out which ones are rated the highest, and why.  I'll learn as much as I can about the product as far in advance as I can, check prices with multiple sources, and then

... stop drooling and run to Harbor Freight for the version I can actually afford.

Boots and sunglasses.

Danners for hiking boots and slip ons, kenetrek for hunting, whites and Hoffman for work.

Oakley prism for cheap glasses and Maui Jim’s or costa for spendy ones.

For a few years, i fixed cars for a living, so I have some good quality tools like Snap-On, Mac, Matco, etc. mixed in with old Craftsman stuff from back when it was decent (their old Pro line was good stuff), as well as some cheap stuff.

Now that I only use my tools for hobbies or just to fix crap around the place, I can't justify buying the good stuff, and it hurts my feelings when I have to use one of my cheap tools from Lowe's or whatever.

Beer!

I am very particular about my beer and will only drink cheap beers from Coors. Preferably Keystone Light. I have no desire for fancy beers, IPA's, microbrews, imports and seasonals.   Just give me some cheap ass Keystone or Coors light. Everything else gets thrown out.

I'm pretty frugal but I grow most of my own food.  It's difficult to juggle having everything on hand so when I misjudged and am caught short I gag at the food offered in our local grocery stores.  It's ridiculously expensive and I often can't tell the difference in taste between beef, pork and chicken.  It's creepy weird.

I also will not use anything by Best Foods Mayonnaise.  I've tried several off label brands and they're gross.  I also only use Dawn Dish soap.  It works great for stain removers too.  Only thing I've found to get the diesel grease off my husband's clothes.

That's cool. I haven't got the time, energy, or ability to grow food. Maybe when we get this house in better shape we'll be able to do some of that stuff.

Mayo is really easy to make, and homemade is tasty and you can make it just how you like it.

Magnified optics.  You almost get what you pay for.  I won't even look through the really nice stuff because I know I can't afford it and I will instantly think that my "good" optics, that I've spent thousands on, suck.

Pretty much this. It doesn't have to be expensive but no junk. I'm old now and have pretty much figured out what works for me. When I think back it seems I pissed away much more $$ buying cheap shit than paying extra for high quality products.
