By admitting liability she's hoping to limit how much the jury will hear about her lying about election fraud and just attack the plaintiff by arguing that his claims of mental distress over her lies is baloney.
there's two parts to a civil case: did the defendant do the thing the plaintiff claimed and if so did what are the damages. If you have a particularly bad case on liability sometimes you just admit liability and contest damages. I think I did this once in a car accident trial doing insurance work. My client had rear ended the plaintiff, who was stopped in traffic. The plaintiff could have filed a motion to win on liability automatically, his lawyer didn't either just out of laziness or hoping that talking about the accident would get his client, who either wasn't really hurt and just claiming "soft tissue bs", some sympathy. I admitted the accident was my client's fault and said all we wanted to jury to look at was the plaintiff's claim about getting hurt. Lake is probably going to make some claim that she's not "really" admitting that she lied about all the lies she told about this guy suing her, but that's what's going on. |

People really need to understand how to use squishy language to avoid defamation suits. One must avoid stating things to be facts if there is no backup for the statement. Lots of "in my opinion" goes a long way in mitigating defamation claims.
I always thought that everything I said was my opinion and it was not necessary to use the squishy language. Au contraire. |

In order to prove what she alleges, you would have to trace every ballot back to a valid voter. With the way the mail in process works, it's impossible to do that. The "voter" "certifies" their ballot by signing the envelope. The very first thing that they do when they receive the ballots for counting, is to open up the envelope, and separate the envelope from the ballot. This sanitizes the ballot and makes it impossible to confirm it's validity! Once they have been separated, the ballot is assumed to be valid and there is no way to even determine who cast that ballot. It's a perfect setup for cheating at a grand scale if you do not have robust accountability at the counting places. Which explains the ones where Republicans were thrown out. There are some statistical ways to prove things, but again, they refused all along to allow the Right access to any of the evidence. Hell the Legislature demanded that they turn over just about everything for the "full audit" and the Board told them, repeatedly, to fuck off. |

She's probably burned millions trying to fight this and suspect she's running our of money So she filed for discovery and they refused to provide it, defying the courts order or did it just not exist? In order to prove what she alleges, you would have to trace every ballot back to a valid voter. With the way the mail in process works, it's impossible to do that. The "voter" "certifies" their ballot by signing the envelope. The very first thing that they do when they receive the ballots for counting, is to open up the envelope, and separate the envelope from the ballot. This sanitizes the ballot and makes it impossible to confirm it's validity! Once they have been separated, the ballot is assumed to be valid and there is no way to even determine who cast that ballot. It's a perfect setup for cheating at a grand scale if you do not have robust accountability at the counting places. Which explains the ones where Republicans were thrown out.  Attached File |
