New to me Single Six. Learned something new this week. I knew .32 H&R revolvers could also shoot .32 S&W/Long, but had no idea some will also handle .32 ACP with no l problem.

That is my understanding. The cartridge is semi-rimmed & it sits in the cylinder just fine. I have a bunch of .32 ACP laying around, but no .32 H&R magnum rounds yet. I won't be able to get some range time until Tuesday but will let you know.

.32 ACP sounds and feels like mouse farts, compared to .327 Fed

My current carry rotation.

My automatics are all sleeping soundly in my safe at the moment. I've been in a wheel gun mood for March. Like I said, I change my carry gun like my wife changes her purses and shoes.

Ruger Vaqeuro Bird's Head .45 Colt
S&W Model 66 .357 Magnum
Charter Arms Bulldog. 44 Special
S&W Model 442 Pro-Series .38 Special
S&W Model 586 .357 Magnum
Colt King Cobra .357 Magnum

Leather is High Noon, DeSantis, Gallo, Bianchi, Buckheimer, and a custom job from an old leather crafter in Miami who's long dead. Reloads are dump pouches, Samaritans or HKS speed-loaders, or speed-strips.

What is the reasoning behind Ruger's push button cylinder release?

What does the “no-dash” exactly mean with revolvers? Is it more sought after or is it lacking something?

Both.

If the model number has no dash it means that there have not been any engineering changes, of which for every iteration a new dash in sequence is given.

So if you see a Model 66 it’s an original design. If you see a model marked 66-2 it’s had an engineering change.

These changes can be an improvement for reliability, durability, etc or to make the gun cheaper to produce like MIM or no longer pinned barrels to preclude turning and not recessing the cylinders that many find distasteful, hence most no dash iterations are more collectible.
