OMG, these last 2 episodes. So cinematic. And the waterfall scene with Crosshair, wow. Can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s become the best animated Star Wars series season to date. Yup, better than Clone Wars(except for season 7 - on par) and Rebels. Fight me.

Good two episode arc. This season has been fantastic so far. Those shadow clones are badass. They’re all fast and wiry like commando droids. Pretty sure Rex’s base camp is the same place Ventress was holed up in when she kidnapped Jabba’s son in the Clone Wars movie. So that’s neat. Was cool to see Wolfe. My younger son had a cataract in the same eye so he’s a favorite in our house. |

Rex was there the first time around. The flashback in Ahsoka was probably Teth too. Filoni likes to tie all that stuff together. What a great 2 episodes. I was so happy to see Howzer is still alive. I was worried he got taken out in the attack.
I guess Wolff & the pack still have their inhibitor chips. I can't wait to see how he comes around. |

It might be ok. I’ll keep my expectations nice and low though.
I’d rather they crank out another stinker with a new storyline than do what they did to Boba Fett and Obiwan. |

View Quote don't trust your eyes - check this isn't about good or bad, this is about power and who gets to use it - check https://www.starwars.com/news/leslye-headland-interview “If Star Wars is about the underdog versus the institution, [in The Acolyte] the Jedi are the institution,” Headland says. “I was so interested in a storyline where the Jedi were at the height of their power — and I don't mean The Phantom Menace, because at that point, there's a Sith Lord in the Senate that they're not picking up on.” Headland wanted to explore further back, when seeing a Sith seemed as likely as encountering a velociraptor. “Like it's a thing I've heard of, but it's not a thing that you would ever consider you'd be interacting with.” With a darker tone focusing on the duality that exists beyond the simplistic black-and-white view of good versus evil, The Acolyte asks a key question before the fall of the Jedi: “What went wrong?” Headland asks. “And if the bad guys are actually the underdog, it just seemed like a cool reversal.” "Not good vs evil" In fact, like Sol notes in the trailer, our eyes may well be deceiving us. “This is very incendiary,” Headland says before signing off, a glimmer of mischief in her eye. “But whatever you think The Acolyte is, it’s not that. It's a drop in the bucket, baby. Just hang in there and check it out.” Is it even a bet to guess at what this means? https://ew.com/tv/the-acolyte-star-wars-leslye-headland-amandla-stenberg-lee-jung-jae/ That's not the only big contrast between The Acolyte and other Star Wars offerings. "I think that what makes this show different and interesting is that it's from the perspective of the villains of Star Wars," Headland explains. "These are people who are using the Force in their own way, dipping into the darker sides of the Force and are doing it without being sanctioned by the larger institution, which, in this case, is the Jedi." Hedland was harvey weinstein's secretary. Is it any surprise to see her show being like this? How does the saying go - "you write what you know" ... |

Today's episode was ok, but felt like filler.
Click To View Spoiler Really just an opportunity to feature Wanda Sykes and Ming-Na Wen's Fennic Shand. The best parts were the Omega and Crosshair scenes. I did feel like some of animation in the swamp was a bit lazy, especially the crocodile critter scenes. The water just felt... static. It does balance out with that beauty shot of the Marauder docking at the space station, which could almost pass for live action quality. |

I think it’s pretty clear that this episode is setting up the return of Ventress, I’m kind of sad they spoiled that in the trailer.
