This is my buddy Stripes. Not actually "my" cat, he's a barn cat out at the stable where my Dad keeps his horses. But he and I have become good friends ever since he showed up. Helps that I'm one of the only people who pays the cats out there any sort of attention. I'm a sucker for tabby cats already, but he's one of the best looking ones I've ever seen, beautiful patterns.
He loves chin scratches......

Here's Sugar the stray sleeping by the front door. My daughter put a blanket on him. Yes, we still have him and no we haven't gotten rid of him. He's still an asshole but he's cute. He's also discovered the bucket of wood pellets next to our pellet stove. He sleeps in them too. He's weird. |

My 20 year old black and white cow cat passed away in March, so we've not had a cat around for far too long. We've been waiting on this little guy to get big enough to come home with us. We picked him up last night, and he has already gotten pretty well settled in here.
This is Oslo our Maine Coon kitten. His dad is well over 20lbs, (and not done growing) and his mom is big for a female, so this little terror could be 25lbs when fully grown. He has dirty paws as he decided to explore behind the wood burner. His pur mechanism sounds like a small diesel tractor engine. Nice to have some furry chaos around the house again.  Attached File |

Lilly, one of the barn cats, and my hunting buddy. She'll want to get petted for a few minutes, then she settles down and keeps watch.
There were 4 barn cats. 3 females, one male. My folks decided to save money and only get the male fixed. FOUR litters in 4 months, and 18 kittens later, we got the females fixed. We lost one that managed to get loose and got run over by a tractor, but I found homes for 17 kittens in one summer. Some relatives still don't take my phone calls.
