This is Chica. She is 11 and one of the most gentle cats I have ever had. She will be leaving us Monday afternoon. Her little lungs are full of tumors and we cannot have her suffer and struggle to breathe. She will be missed.

That's awesome.

My dog wants to be like that with the cat, but the cat has ZERO interest in being friends.  Doesn't hate her, just wants to be LTFA.

After more than 6 years I finally got my buddy back.

He turned 14 in May. He's overweight and arthritic, but he's home now.

Glad you got your buddy back.  My cat is older and also has arthritis and I take her weekly to get laser therapy which seems to help.

This kitten showed up in my garage barely weaned. I was going to give her to my adult daughter after getting her spayed but got too attached to her

Thanks. I left him with my mom after my divorce. She wouldn't give him back. I didn't know it, but mom and dad locked him in the hot garage 3-4 days per week when they went out of town. It took some time, but I convinced them to give him up.

I have never heard of laser therapy. Sounds expensive. How does it work?

I'm a cat guy, even though I've had a few dogs in the past....but your dog just screams well behaved, and super loving!  Beautiful pics of beautiful animals.  Seems like you got one helluva pair of friends in those two.

My vet charges $25 per session and it is done by one of the techs.  It seems to help a fair amount and I noticed the most when she first had it done as they started mine out at 3 sessions for the first 2 weeks and then a weekly maintenance visit after that.  She was able to move and jump much better than she had for awhile and there is no medication involved.  Pain medication works but in some cases, like my little trouble maker, she has kidney failure and cannot have medication.

I'll have to look into that. My wife is on the local Humane Society's board of directors. We get vet care a little cheaper than most.

After I posted above I have been watching him. He seems to move better. My wife thinks that they might have hurt him when they shoved him into the cat carrier. It's a small carrier and he's large framed as well as weighing about 20 pounds.

I'd take anyone of them home with me, but this one above appears that it will grow into a very beautiful cat.  Love it's markings, and colors already.

Were any of their parents an American Shorthair?    Are you keeping all 4?   That would be cool if they got to stay together:)
