I think we'd be nuts to turn our back on the only democracy in the Middle East.
Yes, European Jews make up a large part of Israel, but so what? Europeans make up an even greater part of the United States. Should they all be sent home, too?
Jews have been living in this area for at least as long as any of the other peoples in the area.
The Palestinians already have a 'homeland' - it's called Jordan! 80% of the population there is Palestinian.
Yes, Israel has been 'guilty' of ignoring certain UN resolutions, and the problem with that is....? I think the US should be ignoring more UN resolutions, if you ask me.
C'mon Israel, beat the crap outta whoever comes up against your country! You've done it many times before, and it looks like it's necessary for you to do it yet again.
And the LORD said unto Abram:
'Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:
'And I will make thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
'And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth shall be blessed.' Genesis, Chapter 12, vv.1-3.
There seems to be the Hand of God at work in the regathering of the dispersed from all parts of the earth. Who would have thought that the dispossessed Jews, after 2000 years, would be permitted to have Jerusalem as their capital city again? What's the likelihood of that happening anytime else in all History?
All I'm waiting for now is the rebuilding of the Temple. Then all things will be fulfilled.
