Uhhh we have Jeff Davis' house here in my county. But Mississippi is pretty close 60-40 red vs blue when it comes down to anything not about the president

My town is clear, but my birthplace of Chicago has gone full retard.
People where I am are a strange mix, some new wealth moving up here, some getting out of Milwaukeee. (White Young, very wealthy Urban Professionals.) Some indoctrinated at University of Wisconsin Madistan, Some old timers and salt of the earth types with family roots going back generations, many much like them like myself who moved here to raise our kids in a solid community, and not deal with the bullsheet. Up the road from me we have a screwie town, they have a bizzare "monument" of some type of history. Apparently the town had riots during the civil war, due to some of the influential types draft dodging during the civil war. I doubt the hipsters/ANTIFA idiots will even see it, but I'd bet they try to tear it down, because "reasons" http://www.28thwisconsin.com/service/riots.html I avoid said town at all costs. A) I'm not a Mason B) IMO most of the people in that town are types I'd rather avoid. C)It's crooked. If ANTIFA decends on them I'd be in a conundrum. a) break out a flagpole and beat them? b)secretly cheer for them, as that town deserves it? c) (The correct answer) Let the county sheriff and prosecutor beat them so badly their mothers wouldn't recognize them nor see them unless behind glass again. lol |

Not in my hometown but not too far up the road is Punxsy and I wouldn't be surprised if Phil wasn't a target, because not only are groundhogs completely crap at predicting the weather but they're also well known for being the most racist of the marmots.

I live in Utah's Dixie. They already took our college Rebel Mascot years ago They still call the school Dixie though. All we had was Mormons picking cotton and it was enough to get banned.
And they took out three crosses off the town symbol for the Spanish |

There's a memorial to the Confederate soldiers in front of the court house, as well as signs describing the events of the small battle and subsequent Union burning the town to the ground. Then there's a large Confederate cemetery right down the road from the court house that's plastered in flags and large granite memorials. No problems about any of these due to it being a small town. Birmingham is on the warpath, and the state AG filed a suit against the mayor. I don't know about any other large cities wanting to remove history. View Quote |

There's a Confederate memorial at Arlington National Cemetary. There's also several hundred confederate soldiers buried there. Confederate soldiers were granted all rights and privileges of US military veterans to include burial at Arlington, VA benefits, and even pensions which extended to their families.
I can't wait until those idiots try to desecrate that hallowed ground. I suspect the beat-down will be epic. Nothing near me though. At least not that I know of. |

There are school's, roads, battlefields, and an army base named after a Confederate all around me.
I don't think the population here will tolerate the communist BS. There was a BLM "protest" last year where a whopping three people showed. |

Having looked at the memorials looking for a photo. I might drive out (actually have someone drive me) to the Vicksburg battlefield. In bad medical shape now but I think I might need to go now before who knows what happens to it.

A large plaque was hit with paint here in Knoxville yesterday, at the site of Ft. Sanders. The mayor's office tried to discredit it by saying they did not know it even existed.
We have read the petition and we definitely understand the concerns of those who have signed it. To be honest, none of us in the Mayor’s Office were even aware of the monument, even though we have probably walked or driven past it thousands of times. We’re researching the history and legal details of its ownership. If it is on public right of way, which it appears to be, a state law passed by our Legislature forbids the City from unilaterally moving it. That would take a request for a waiver from the State Historical Commission. We won’t make any decisions about this until we have all the information about our options. In the meantime, we certainly encourage members of our community to let us know their thoughts and feelings about the monument, through the petition or by contacting us at [email protected]. |

They changed our Robert E. Lee Elementary to Lumumba-Zapata Academy. not sure if or We did have a Robert E. Lee Elementary School. Lumumba-Zapata was one of my suggestions on the local paper's discussion forum. They actually renamed it to Pacific View Leadership Elementary School (it has a great view of the ocean.) There is a history to "Lumumba-Zapata." Back in the 1970s when UC San Diego was building its third college (after Revelle and Muir,) the leftist students DEMANDED that the new school be named Lumumba-Zapata College. The regents of the university didn't want to take on that much heat, so they named it Earl Warren College. |

Just a small museum about the mint that helped fund the Confederate States, a small monument erected by the Sons of Confederate Soldiers dedicated to those who served, ohhh and a historic KKK meeting hall.
