Doesn't look bad, yet. I hope you made it through without any damage. Good luck.

BTW, what happened to Intramuros? I was there in 1994 and it was well-kept and touristy. I looked at some recent pics and parts of it look like Tondo. What gives?

Been through that- people are still missing.  Just take care, and bug out if you have to.

According to NHK news there is a huge typhoon brewing that is going to hit Taiwan on Friday and China on Sat.

Take care and be careful

The JMA is going insane, Zack just get to a consulate or embassy.  Hell I want to visit the Philippines someday.  It was the storm of 20 -plus years and people are still missing.

I'm in Quezon City right now, but I haven't seen any flooding, at least not yet. I guess you're getting it worse over there

Stay safe.

I was in Manila in 2015 for Typhoon Falcon.  It was not fun.

Malabon is only a (very) few feet above Manila Bay - water has nowhere to go.

There will be an influx of people admitted to the local hospitals for water borne infections.  Wife says it happens every time it floods.  All the half ass electrical work and flooding.  Cue the Nope Badger.

The pics are really nice. The colors are amazing.

How is it that they had a fire that burned 150 homes during this deluge?

When I was there, it seemed even the sari-sari stores had a guy out front with a chrome plated 12-gauge pump.

Maybe that has something to do with it?

I was in Cebu with my wife in 2014. We were heading to our taxi during a heavy rain at Fuente Osmena when I mis-stepped right into the gutter flowing with God knows what filth. Knee deep in flip flops.

I freaked the fuck out all the way to her mother's house, then went in the yard and scrubbed myself off with dish soap, Ajax with bleach and plenty of tap water. Luckily nothing started growing on me.

Well, instead of telling you to keep your powder dry I believe a more appropriate saying would be ...

Keep your chain and sprockets lubed.
