What would you call people who are incapable of maintaining more than a 1/3rd of a car length at 80mph because they expect the person in front of them to cut off a semi truck in moderate traffic in order to get out of the way? View Quote |

I ride my motorcycle(BMW K1600GT, stock quiet exhaust) at speed so that I am always overtaking traffic. With time and a great deal of luck, you may grow up OP.
Foolish to be a tailgater. Foolish to egg them on. Fools die eventually. Unfortunately, they sometimes take the innocent with them. |

Again I'm glad you set the acceptable speed limit. where did you get your doctorate in civil engineering? Do States specifically ask you what speed they should enable on their highways? So confused.
Driving the speed limit or slightly over is dangerous and douchey, but following closely at high rates of speed and driving extremely aggressively is safe and proper. It is ok to pit someone or punch their teeth in for not doing things your way (sounds kinda lefty to me) and cops feel good about writing huge tickets to motorists who choose not to be bullied by some flatbiller who is road raging but don't feel the need to cite tailgaters. The safety of yourself and others is not as important as letting Joe Douche do 100+mph and weave through traffic because he is in a hurry to be douchey at some other location. Did I miss anything? I understand medical emergencies, but at what point is your safety worth killing a minivan full of kids? GD seems extra dumb today |

Douchey vehicle comes charging up my ass going 95 and riding my bumper... nothing gets me harder than pulling up directly beside one of those vans, matching their speed, throwing on cruise control, and watching the idiot behind me rage for the next 10 minutes. If he submits, and acknowledges that I am in control by getting off my bumper, I will then give him his lane. Some people learn quickly, others don't. Hmm, I like how "as soon as I can" can take up to 10 minutes. I personally would rather move over and let the guy going 95, for whatever reason, pass than have him hover at 75 right behind me for 10 minutes. Even if that I meant I had to go, wait for it, 76. |

I don't flip people off anymore, I wave and seems to work better.
One thing I'll never understand about the sheep that live here in the Pacific Northwest is the use of high beams. I'll cut off a left leg camper and they'll start having an autistic spasm with their high beam selector, but I'm not sure what exactly they're trying to accomplish. People don't use their horns here either... |

Congrats on creating a rolling road block you asshole.
I bet you're one that stays in the fast lane no matter what like it's your own personal travel lane. Why do you give a shit what speed someone else wants to drive at? Just pass the car you're passing and move the hell over to the slow lane and let the other cars around you. They can't tailgate you if they aren't behind you. |

In 2012 I sliced my wrist open on accident causing me to have two surgeries, I was bleeding. A lot. My wife was taking me to the ER, as I was turning white in the passenger seat, on the verge of passing out. She was driving at a pretty good clip when she got stuck behind someone in the left lane who would not move out of the way and did the same thing that you did, tried to box her in with a truck. She ended up passing on the shoulder to get around the guy just in time to scoot all the way over to make the exit to the hospital. The point is, you have no clue what is going on in the vehicle behind you, it could be an emergency. If faster traffic is coming, just move over. It is not your job to police the traffic around you. I certainly hope that OP is trolling, otherwise he is a dick. A little common courtesy all the way around would go a long ways.
Slowing down to piss off an already impatient driver will eventually result in very bad experience. I don't give a fuck about you and the tailgator, but I would hate to be the family in the van in the right lane just minding their own business. |

Left lane campers don't go 15 over the speed limit and promptly move over for the level-headed drivers behind them that desire to drive at a faster pace. View Quote You are a left lane camper. Going through Atlanta at 80 is perfectly normal even though the speed limit is 65. I've never even seen the 65 speed limit being enforced. I'll drive at 80 through Atlanta, but I also move over after I pass people. Because there are people that will want to go 80+ and they don't bother anyone but apparently you. Obviously there are 100 people that thought you were going too slow, so move the hell over. |
