Son sent me this pic. The snake was gone when he want back out with a flash light.

I came across what I assumed was a Coral snake, turned out to be a Scarlet King Snake.

Square blotches outlined in black. Flip him over and he will have a flat belly with a checkerboard pattern. Corn Snake.

Thanks guys. Wasn't too worried even if it was just curious. We only have ever seen garter snakes in the past 12 years. Other then that I don't have much snake experience but I see what everyone is talking about by the thickness. Copperheads look to be healthy guys by their pics.
