A rwd sedan with a manual transmission, V8, or turbo V6 that isn't a damn 'luxury' vehicle.

Pretty much any vehicle that I could order individual options instead of option packages.  I shouldn't have to pay for Bose surround sound just because I want fog lights.

Ford Raptors only came with like 3 options as well.  They're both "fully loaded" vehicles.

Not having an option for options is not what I'm talking about.

It's funny how arfcom completely fails to understand this.

The public doesn't want the same shit as the handful of simpletons here want.

And as far as preppers go, it's hilarious to see how they fail to understand how interference hardened modern car ECM's are. A fucking EMP is NOT going to kill one. Direct lighting strikes sometimes do.

Something with a simple to service design, with the engine in facing the right way.  It should not be necessary to remove a dozen different plastic covers then disassemble half the engine just to access one part.  Replaceing a $5 part should not cost $500.

In a perfect world:

Diesel electric, a diesel generator is used to directly power an electric motor on each wheel.  No battery banks, no transmission.

The generator should be in a nice clean bay and be easy to service in place, or lift out by simply removing a few easy to access bolts and pulling a single wire harness.  Ideally there would be some kind of built in hoist to raise it out.

The motors on the wheel should likewise be easy to access and replace.

A computer would control the entire thing and it would have a "glass cockpit, and be drove by wore with no mechanical linkages.

If it requires more than a screw driver or a pair of pliers or a basic wrench it should not be on the car.

If another part needs to be removed to access it, then it needs to be redesigned so that is not the case.

The service manual should ne simple and not require a person to be a mechanic or possess any special mechanical aptitude to understand or perform any task in it.

The body and frame should be aluminum or some other material that cannot rust, and all other parts should be sealed from the environment.

No emissions control garbage.

Chevy SS only two options that cost are the sunroof and spare tire. It's pretty much loaded with all the gadgets standard though. You can have auto or manual at the same price. I wish we could get the HSV GTS in the USA. I had to settle for the SS and supercharger, heads, cam, etc.

You can run 35's on a stock JK with no lift.  Also, you wanna swap in a V8 that only makes a little over 10% more horsepower than the current V6. Plus the 4.7L weighs something like 300 lbs more.

If I am asking for a Jeep it has the following:

Dana 60s front and rear with selectable lockers (prefer ARB air lockers)
Diesel motor
Option for spray-in bed liner floors
Much better sound system than stock
Built-in auxiliary switches for winch, lighting, etc...
Full cage from the factory
More comfortable waterproof seats
Onboard air compressor

There's always a lot of folks on the Internetdom that claim, "if this existed, I'd buy it today!" but never do.  At first, I used to think there was something to these comments; maybe manufacturers aren't actually listening to their customer base, but any time a company (like many have done a few times) steps out to fill that supposed void, nobody buys.  So the units languish on the lot, the guy who swore up and down they'd sell like crazy gets demoted/fired, and its' back to business as usual.  Over time I came to realize that by and large the market research shows what people want; CUVs, widgets, MPG.

Perhaps if that mythical group of buyers put their money where their mouth is, these sorts of things wouldn't continually happen.
