I'm going to be replacing 3 toilets.  So what is the best thing out there for the money?  I don't need a $1000 built in bidet model...

The $100 Home Depot house brand is pretty good. I have installed 4 of them with  no problems.

Any one that can flush a dead cat. These water saver toilets suck.  They put them in my dads house and the damn things can't flush the healthy shit of a two year old.  He always has a plunger handy.  Embarrassing  when you have company LOL!

I installed two of the American Standard Optum Vormax toilets and I like them a lot.

Wrong.

Older toilets have very inefficient trapways and virtually no siphon action.   They only overcame this by dumping massive amounts of water to flush waste.  Even with this, they clogged.

The newer high efficiency toilets have carefully engineered trapways that greatly reduce clogging and maximize siphon action.  The cheap junk people have issues with are what contractors put in houses that restricted water use and also had inefficient trapways that were guaranteed to be clog-a-matics.

My American Standard Cadet 3's I put in my home have never clogged and vastly outperform my parents toilets that were installed in 1970.

I recently bought a ~$100 model from Menards and it works great.

Whatever you do, get the a model with a level 10 flush. We had some issues with the old unit getting plugged up. This one will flush anything you put into it.

Anything.

Pretty sure it's this puppy right here.

There's a toilet at the back of the Tridelphia Wal-Mart that could pull down a dead buffalo. It is a joy and a pleasure and a privilege to use. Whenever I get the need, the need for taking a good side shit, I just head to Wally-World, buy a newspaper, and enter Thunderbowl.

And it's free. Best bang for my buck.

Kohler toilets are good, the low flow ones are able to easily flush even the most stubborn turds.

The Drake models are very reasonable for the performance.  I have 4 that I installed in my house when I built it 7 years ago.  I have never had a clog, even with two women in the house.

In 2013 I did my research and replaced a basement shitter that used to clog up a lot with one of these.  It has never failed to flush.  It's louder than a standard toilet, but I don't care.

not Toto, i have five of them all new within 4 years and all have some problems, either the flapper leaking, fill value etc...

I just installed a Cadet 3 dual flush. Even the 'water saving' flush clears everything well.
