If it doesn't breathe or bleed, I probably shouldn't be working on it....that said, I needed a drill. I've never owned one. I went and got one.

117 OTD.

Now I gotta figure out how to work it.

Everything I have at work is Milwaukee. Dewalt is GTG though. Lots of guys at work use Dewalt too. I like to have everything use the same battery packs and chargers
and I think Milwaukee was one of the first to start standardizing their tools powerpacks. I know Sears started doing the same with their cordless tools.

Everything I have at work is BARD. Lol

Aside from a lawnmower and a leaf blower this is my first "power tool".

Once I figure out what to do with these things, I'll probably continue down the DeWalt path.

pretty sure that was Ryobi, there one plus line has had the same battery and voltage shape for decades. hundreds of tools, the only thing with a different battery are the small round handle drivers that wouldn't work with a normal battery.

Meh, mine's ok. But mine had trouble driving in a lot of 3 inch tapcons, it now doesn't stay on the highest torque setting it just "jumps" out of it to a lower torque

If you are tapcon'ing into concrete something that will get removed at a later time...sure I can see you using tapcons.

If it is like permanent and it will get hidden (looks or appearances aren't a concern), a 16d nail inserted into a 3/16ths hole, along with a folded up or Vee'd up piece of tie wire is really strong.  I hear weedeater string or line in place of the tie wire works even better.

In a pinch, I think I have used a 1/4 inch hammer drill bit and an 8d and a 16d nail hammered in together at the same time.

Yes, OP, ya dun real good.

If you need a discrete range bag, that Dewalt bag is perfect.

If your neighbors see you walking to your car (as you are headed to the range), they will just think you are going to work on somebody's house.

I have the non-brushless model that costs around $100 and it's been pretty good for me so far. The brushless model was a lot more at the time when I bought mine (from Lowe's as well).

I'm in construction and while I would never get rid of my impact driver, if you can only have one the drill is more versatile.

Yeah.  I know.  I gave a shed to a coworker.  He came over and was taking it apart with a crescent wrench.   I went into the garage and came to the rescue With the Milwaukee.  He owns his own home, his second and owns no power tools other than a chainsaw.

An impact would be better for driving screws and such vs a drill. Ask around and borrow one to compare...

For the deck, you might have wanted to get an impact driver.

Now you have an excuse to go buy one of those, too.

This... Those bits might as well be twizzlers...  And next time get a combo package, its a bit more but, you get two tools and two batteries for much cheaper than if you peace it together..
