Not that uncommon, among the left. Those gun control laws are to keep other people unarmed.

I've seen one claim (after it being carefully explained to them that their actions could lead to them being arrested, for violation of the laws they were voicing strong - 'no exceptions' - support for) that no cop would arrest them for doing something for self defense purposes. It's those other people that the cops are supposed to be arresting.
