You want Lexan (polycarbonate). Plexiglass will break easily. Glass would be a pain. Lexan is extremely durable and easy to work with, although a little spendy compared to plexiglass.

Judging by the load of wood you used, cost of lexan shouldn't be an issue.

On second thought, it'd probably be better to just frame them in and leave it open. Closing it up with lexan would make it hot and stuffy in the summer.

My kid's fort was all open with assorted mounted slingshots, "binoculars", "cannons" hanging off the ledges. It's slated for the burn pile this summer as he's 17 and 6'4", now.

Soak it up. Goes mighty quick.

Awesome work!   In my mind I'd add the 'grey bent pipe chimney' (ala Gru/Minions) with the cone on top, for ventilation or just decoration, and maybe paint it teal and white.

Lol you read my mind. I want a crooked stovepipe too!

Maybe later on

How well do you think this would work for a tree-stand?

My 4-month old daughter may need one of these for the warm months, and I'll use it for the cold months, lol.

I could tell from your very first pictures that this would turn out to be neat. Your tools look like they are well taken care of and  your workspace was fairly well organized. Very good job sir. Your kid will remember this forever, and forever - and tell her kids about this cool shit her daddy did for her when she was only 2 years old, and that no matter what, she could never be the awesome a parent you were. :)

Here is an idea:
 - you can put shutters on the windows, that can only be latched from the outside (easier for adults)
- and use rope netting on the apertures

If you do use rope netting, be sure that each opening on the netting is smaller that the size of a 2yr old's head...ask me how I know.

The lack of roof overhang is problematic
You want water to shoot off, not drain down the sides
