Here are some things that annoy me:
>5 second intros; bonus points if they have shitty dubstep or metal music. Fake radio voices. I exit the video 90% of the time I hear it. >10 seconds of shilling for their channel. I.e., "If you like what you see, subscribe here because I don't want to work a real job and I want more than SSDI. Please leave comments and like this video as well. You see I need subscribers to keep going." Shitty music during timelapses What are some things that annoy you? |

Nothing really. They are free to watch, and can be skipped/ fast forwarded at any time.
If I had to nitpick it would be shill "reviews." |
|
Thumbnails that aren't in the video.
Long rambling useless info Potato photography |
|
As long as there is a crash or somebody does something stupid and wins a prize then I'm good
|
|
that it stops playing if you leave the screen
I.e., can't listen to a song and browse arfcom |

When they do a technical video and they don't even have a basic understanding of the subject matter or ability to explain their ideas clearly. Also when they make obvious assumptions but they don't look deep enough to make good assumptions.

Misleading thumbnails.

Long intros
Music playing over sounds you want to hear in the video like cars or jets Get to the fucking point Gun reviews where they never shoot the gun Rapid cuts and edits while someone is talking that makes the speaker look like Max Headroom. It really screams the speaker has no grasp on public speaking or on the topic. |
|
Everything. 10 minutes to describe 10 seconds of information.
A video when a single page with two pictures would cover it. |

There are videos out there with minutes of blank time. Number Three is videos that have the Poster remove for whatever reason. Believe me when I say that when I post a video here I have played it before posting it. Even then a link disappears after a few weeks/months later. |

Endless yammering.
If you put up a video, I should not have to wait until the halfway point in the video waiting for you to get to the subject at hand. Know what you're going to say and get to the point. If you want to just blather on mindlessly to something, get a plant. |

just over the top profanity mostly.
When someone cannot string two words together without dropping an f bomb it just irks me. |

Long, stupid intros, loud annoying music, bad audio, stupid people and bad camera work.
There, I've ruled out 87% of youtube videos and saved you all a ton of wasted time. |

Watching a technical video (e.g. A trigger install vid) that has a run time of 25 minutes when most of the video is rambling useless info. Get to the point already. Most of these videos could be sped up and summarized in 5 minutes. Where's the beef? I don't need all the BS commentary
|

Bad resolution. It's 2017 people, 1080p should be the minimum.

This is very interesting to me since I've started doing a youtube channel during the winter months. I don't have ads and I don't make money. Winter hobbies were shooting, hunting coyotes, ice fishing and at night I'd play video games. I figure its more productive to spend my evenings making youtube videos instead of playing video games.
So I have questions: -Is my intro too long / annoying? -Do I ramble or over explain? -too many cuts / transitions? -Any other objections? Thanks for any feedback! Failed To Load Title |

The jump cut editing.
Do you really fail so much at life that you can't say 4 fucking sentences in one take? |

It seems like most stuff on YouTube these days sucks. Misleading titles, long intros, loud intros, crappy music, rambling idiots, rambling people who may be knowledgeable but I don't listen long enough to find out, fake laughing, bad special effects, most people making gun videos who don't realize just how retarded they make gun owners look (same with people in most areas actually), lots of profanity, etc. The list is long these days.
For technical/historical videos I still think Ian at Forgotten Weapons does one of the best jobs. He does his research, he presents context and content that is relevant and his his videos aren't overly long. I know folks here like Hickock45 but he doesn't seem to have a clue a lot of the time and his videos just ramble while promoting Bud's, Federal and whoever else is supporting him. |

People who yammer on about liking their videos and begging for comments.
Overly loud music. People who cannot communicate clearly. If you cannot give a speech in front of a crowd, you probably shouldn't put yourself on youtube. |

- Clickbaits thumbnails... I'm a sucker for the female newscaster with the awesome cleavage that you never get to see.
- Misleading titles is a close second to the clickbait - Pop-up messages/links/whatever in the video - Not time-lapsing an obvious process like loading a magazine... unless the person has some pretty interesting shit to say while doing it. - Zooming in on something and not adjusting the focus - 99.9% of Nutnfancy - Hands in the way of the thing they're reviewing - When a kid can give a better, shorter explanation on how to do something than a grown-up - A video of a TV playing a scene from a show/movie - Shooting videos just showing the guy standing there shooting. At least have a picture in picture of the target or change it up and have some new angles. Military Arms Channel used a drone in a recent video.... it was great. I love the use of drones to get an overhead view of things. |

I hate when people start their videos with " It's your boy ____ ______ here".
|
|
When it tells you that it's age restricted...
I'v been a registered user for years and this shit still pops up. |

Chopped and abrupt editing. If you need to start over, start over and give a smooth presentation. If you do have to cut, give a second or so transition, rather than having a new sentence start where the last left off without so much as a breath.

how many fucking ads there are now that google ruined it. and just about everything else they do.
|
|
Constant Yeager/tactical respons and range time video suggestions. Can you block them like FB?
|

advertisements and commercials
fucking overly loud background music where you can't hear the retard talk disproportionate music and voice levels click bait thumb nails .. |

People who put religion or politics into every damn post. When you're talking about your new car, radio, or gun, I don't want to hear you jabber about how much you hate ____________, or love _____________. Either side, I don't want to hear it.
