I would like to make a vote to integrate AR15.com with paypal so that every time someone sends a payment within 5 or 10 minutes, that positive feedback is left for the buyer.

There is a little sarcasm attached...

Why, when I go to attach an image from my media library to a post, do I only see 6 albums to choose from when I have more than that?

How do I get to those other albums to attach an image?

Same problem, here. regardless of browser. When I go to attach, I can only see the last few images in each album available for selection...I can't seem to pick from the rest that are available.

follow up: Just wanted to say I really like having this option. Haven't checked the data usage but less scrolling is nice as I've been using the mobile site a lot more lately. Now I just need to learn who everyone is without the avatars...

I tried the no-avatar option for mobile viewing and it didn't remove them, but it did make them smaller.

You guys doing this on a web browser or a mobile device? Please try to provide more information like if you are on a mobile platform, which one, what browser. All that info helps a ton in finding and fixing issue.

Edit - Also does the page drop down show up at all for you or not even that?

When using the "Click Here to Attach an Image from your Media Library to this Post" button I only see the first six albums in my library and I'm able to post anything from those six albums. Nothing loads allowing me to page through to the next page of album. If I want to post anything else I must open the media library in a separate tab, open the pic, copy the addy and use the "post Image" button. It does this on my desktop (Win7) with Chrome or IE11 Browsers and on a Samsung Tab II using Chrome. I've never ttried to post pics using Chrome on my phone so I can't answer to what that mobile browser does.

I do want to thank you for all of the OUTSTANDING work you have done to improve the site.

Is it just me or are the servers slow?  For the last couple of days it takes 10-15 seconds for, example, a reply window to come up in a thread or to get to the media servers.

Yes.

When you find a tweet you like, you can hit their drop down menu and click on "embed tweet" to give you some, I dunno, "code" to post inline.

Example:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Twitter is promoting both <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CCNBlackmail?src=hash">#CCNBlackmail</a> & <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CNNBackmail?src=hash">#CNNBackmail</a> to stop us from uniting against <a href="https://twitter.com/CNN">@CNN</a>. Be careful and don't get fooled! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CNNBlackmail?src=hash">#CNNBlackmail</a> <a href="https://t.co/nAJ3V9E89a">pic.twitter.com/nAJ3V9E89a</a></p>— Hispanics for Trump (@HispanicsTrump) <a href="https://twitter.com/HispanicsTrump/status/882692425122185218">July 5, 2017</a></blockquote>

I have a suggestion.

Often times I want to quote several posts in my reply.  Could we add a button to the posts we want to quote then when we hit reply or quote on the last post we want to quote - in the post rely box all the quoted posts are there in a single reply?

Does that make sense?

Don't use their embed link; Goatboy already has that covered. Just copy the URL to the tweet, come back to Arfcom, click the "Insert Tweet Link" above the text box in the reply window (it's between the insert link and insert Amazon item buttons), paste it in and click Save.

Please do.

Assuming there's an option for users to turn it off, I don't see how it would be spammy.

I still find it cumbersome (on my phone in mobile view) while scrolling if I hit "user info" or "quote" it stops the scrolling.

Is there any way to fix this? Maybe require a longer touch? Or a double touch or something?
I'll see what I can do.

From the mobile site, if I read an IM and hit "reply " it opens a copy of the message but the "to" field is blank.
Is it supposed to be like that, since you are obviously replying to the person who sent the message?

Thanks.

Quick Question:

Trying to repopulate some tacked threads where pictures were replaced by Photobucket ransom notices, using Google Photos to replace them:

After entering the addresses they show up perfect in "Preview", but then saving the post turns them into little broken link squares.  Example post below:

Example Post

Example picture from Google Photos:

Any ideas?  Is Google Photos just not compatible?

Google photos is really only designed for sharing through the actual app or photos website. I think there are some workarounds but it's not worth it IMHO. Create an imgur account (not needed but you can manage the photos you've uploaded that way) and just use it for your forum posts. Easiest way to do it.

The problem I have with imgur is that they can end up where photobucket is.....next management change.  The one nice thing about Google photos is that the photos all upload by date.  That means it's easy to go to a thread here, check the date, go to Google Photos to that date and there is all the photos you used.

They share to other gun forums like The High Road, and The Firing Line just fine, just not here.

The real weird thing is you think it works....preview is great....save and they're gone....go to edit, the links are there, preview...and they're back.

I can disable them but have to repeat for each forum and then they dont seem to stay gone more than a day even though it appears disabled in the settings.   Chrome browser, Samsung Tablet, Android 6.01

Saves some bandwidth, but the space is still wasted on mobile IMO.

Eh?   clicking disable avatars setting today logs me out of site.  Has happened twice.

It's cookie based, like your login, so odds are something is resetting or removing your cookie. You do not have to enable per forum, the avatars there are probably cached and will go away after a reload or a few page views. New threads should load normally since they aren't cached.
View Quote
Well, today clicking disable avatars no longer logs me out of site which is good, but disabling is still problematic.

Avatatars came back today.   In GD  I click disable, reload and they disappear.  Run off to Urban Commandos, see avatars, reload, still see them, click disable and get confirmation, reload and they go away.   Go to business and investing, see avatars, reload, still see, click disable and reload they go away.

I believe you but I dont understand what could be causing it.  And why avatar cookies when other things like colors, login, etc are not affected?

My cookie settings are not set up to allow 3rd party cookies, but in my years of using Chrome, I have never enabled that.

Save your efforts for something more worthy of your time, sir.  Looks like Davisac is right.  Google Photos used to furnish links that worked in 3rd party embedding, but somehow in gross lack respect for their customers they decided to remove embedding links.  Lots of angry customers....pressure building.  Looks like I will have to find another answer.....Imgur?  Can you really trust them, I doubt it.

Worst of all Google made you think you have embedded, but turns out only you can see it.  For that deception and misuse of data trusted to them, I will delete more than pictures.  Google is history for me, period.......back to Firefox.......  No honesty in the computer world left?

Also, this. The workaround is to open each of the posts you want to quote in a new tab, then copy them all to one post, and add in [ quote ] [ / quote ] (removing the spaces), which is really cumbersome. Edit: and also doesn't seem to work the same way...
