@redfish86 Due to improper breeding and idiots wanting them to be a certain way for show because they thought it looked better. That coupled with bad breeding due to them becoming such a popular breed also led to a decrease in base drive and problems with hip dysplasia. The one on the left it how they should look. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2016/03/14/17/322F666600000578-3491160-image-a-18_1457975677528.jpg View Quote Thank God, I'm not crazy. I didn't recall seeing GSDs like that growing up. Thanks @SGStiles! |

Apparently Trijicon doesn't, since none of the Accupowers are bright enough for that. |

Never really needed daylight brightness with my etched reticle But, different strokes for different folks. View Quote Depends on how you're using it. If you're using the reticle the way you would out of a traditional scope, the illumination is totally unnecessary to begin with. If you're using it at 1x for speed shooting like you would a standard dot, having good lume is pretty important. If you're not using the 1x for that purpose, I don't understand why you wouldn't just go with a 2.5-10x. But that's just me. The only real bone I have to pick with the Trijicon is the exposed turrets for a 1-8x. |

Locking turrets are obviously a must, I just don't get why they would design it with exposed turrets. Who's gonna dial windage with an 8x optic? |
