Female quarterback Madeleine Northern out to prove she belongs

Seems like she's tough and determined, but I was wondering how can she compete at that level at her stature.

Not a lot of big guys in front of her, hopefully they are quick & strong over achievers.

In 1992 our line averaged over 250lbs. The lighest guy +/- 225 was also the strongest. Our QB was not much bigger than her, but was a male.

ETA they are the jv team.

There's a handful of female quarter backs across the USA, none on winning teams, none progress to NCAA.

What a bunch of idiots.

So she throws half as far as a boy, takes twice as long to begin to throw and will lead her team to victory?

A girl can do anything a boy can if she wants to.  Sure that must be why no women beat a men's world record.  They just don't want to bad enough.

I am genuinely concerned for her safety.....I have seen what a DIV 1 prospect can do to a big QB and she's small.

Like a 6'2" 230 defensive end rushing her on her blind side while she set's up for a pass is going to be ugly. Like...broken bones ugly.

don't need a 6'2 230 DE......I was 6'1, 170# as a middle LB in HS.....would absolutely rekt her shit.

depends on the level of her competition, but HS QBs are usually throwing at least high 80s fastballs in baseball, and taking monster hits while ribs are completely exposed.

maybe she has the mental game and spatial awareness for it, but i'd have to see the arm talent to believe it.

if she can hack, good for her.

The field gonna look like the UN from all the unnecessary roughness flags lol, they'll probably be told to treat her with kid gloves.

Lol bullshit.

I was a "fatass" at 6'5" 300 in high school (got a D1 scholarship for football), and played on a team with many others that got D1 scholarships.  One was a DE at 6'3" 260.  Rocked up with abs.  He wasn't a fatass.

No one is going to want to tackle her and will lose games hesitating or trying to be gentle while getting blocked by a defense that doesn't have to be gentle.  The ones that do say "the hell with it, I'm all about equality too" and sack her the way the game is meant to be played are going to hurt her badly and then become super-villains for having dared to play the game the way it's meant to be played because women.

This sort of nonsense was inevitable once "men and women are equal in every way" became the only non-discriminatory, non-prejudicial, non-sexist, and non-misogynistic belief that people are allowed to have without persecution.

I hope she has had to sign one hell of a liability waiver.  Otherwise, one day when the inevitable happens, everyone from the manufacturer of her socks and protective gear to the school, city, county, and state is going to get sued for not providing her adequate protection from injury.

Yep. If she's the best the team has, start her, but I'd hate to have a QB who couldn't throw the ball more than 25 yards.

I wrestled against a few different girls in high school. Only one was during a real match though. As a freshman I was so worried I would get a Boner that as soon as the match started I threw her in a headlock took her airborn pinning her with in seconds.  I felt bad because she look like she was going to cry,  but I had no choice

Why can't people these days just admit the truth  that women cannot compete physically with men?

She's going to end up in a wheelchair sacrificed on the alter on political correctness.

Given the size of the kids she plays with, she probably plays in a low division. I played class B and the difference between us and the class A kids was night and day.

I hope she does well, but man she has a target on her back. Unless kids these days are a bunch of wimps, the kids she plays against will be head hunting.
