FYI on how I obtained the conversation. One of wives cousins went through a bad breakup and wife gave her the login info for my tablets facebook account. I turned on the tablet....found it, and immediately copied the text to word....So some pic context is missing. You have to be fucking kidding me. Why are you not rid of wife. |

I'd tell the family to fuck off. If the wife wants to see them, it's you or them. I get along with my in-laws, but if her/my family can't recognize a different opinion, I'm an unapologetic asshole. It seems to be enjoyed by all except the ones I'm an asshole to. Same at work with food servers which are gimme gimme shitstains. I troll them all day every day. I take it as a badge of honor to be told that "your wife and you with traditional gender roles are part of what's wrong with the white patriarchal society". Let your wife go to her family events but you should just flatly refuse to go. There is a limit to how much shit that you take from people and they have gone over the limit. I recommend that you unfriend all of them from facebook and tell the wife that your involvement with her family is over. Personally I would send the whole lot of them a letter. Let them know you have seen everything and you hold no grudge as it is wrong to hate and you forgive them. My family is very liberal also and can't have a conversation without deliberately baiting either my wife or I into an argument. They know full well where we both stand yet refuse to let it go. I see them maybe once a year now and that is it. I don't miss them. In fact, their absence from my life has been a blessing. Some people, you just can't reach. |
