Huh? Tzzzzzzzt Aaggghhhh! Oh well. It'll buff out. Dude getting tased after a game of hide and seek |

I got prison twice.. Didn't teach him anything from the looks of it.

"Crawl out on you hands and knees". FAIL
"Stop right there". FAIL TASER........ Might have been a bit aggressive but that could have gone south fast. I say good Shoot |

Pretty big dude that didn't stop when he was told to stop. And I have no idea what happened leading up to it.
Good shoot |

I say good Shoot Bullshit, the guy was no threat at all. The incident happened back in June after police were called to the scene on reports of a fight between homeless men. Meh.
"Stop right there" is about as clear an order as you can give. Cop didn't scream confusing commands, didn't act like a dick, and didn't end up shooting the guy. If you're fuzzy headed and not in a good state to respond to commands, then maybe you shouldn't be camping out in someone else's landscaping. |

I actually was in a similar situation as a patrol officer responding to an alarm call in the wee hours of the morning. I had a homeless dude that had set up camp inside the basement, under the stair in an apartment buildings storage area. It was very dark and absolutely major pucker factor. I expected nothing just another BS alarm call or maybe a cat. Not a grown man coming running out of the darkness. I didn't have a taser pointed at him either. I had a Glock 17 pointed at him. He immediately complied with my orders.

He was about to sprint; look at his eyes, he's looking for escape route. 2 seconds more and he would have started running and pushing officers out of the way. Good taze.

Meh, it's just a taser, he'll be fine. Lefties get mad at the cops for shooting people, so the cops get tasers, then they get mad at them for using tasers. If you're not bright enough to understand what "Stop right there!" means, then maybe a few taser rides will help the learning process.

The only thing that bothered me was the bad language of the officer. I sometimes use the F word, but not in a professional situation.

"Stop resisting!" SOP I guess. View Quote The players have all seen enough of these videos to know there is a script. The cops yell "STOP RESISTING" the guy getting cuffed yells AAHH YOUR HURTING ME" or the newer "I CAN'T BREATH". They each keep yelling louder and louder til the video stops. |

The call was apparently "two homeless guys fighting." Who the hell would do use of force paperwork for that? What do you think this is, Trump's America where we are expected to clean the streets and supported when we use force to do it? It's only day 2. Should have smiled and waved. |

Good Taze in fact I will never question the police when they shoot are taze someone. The political climate is fucked up right now.
Police need to shoot first and ask questions later. |

Was reportedly fighting, didn't follow verbal commands, continued to advance on an officer in a small area, and he was a good sized dude.
Per my dept policy, taser can be deployed for active resistance or the threat of active resistance. Good taze. The people complaining have no idea how the job/legalities work. On another note, taser prevents a lot of legal ass whoopings. Dudes that want to square up and get into a knock down, drag out fight get a 5 second taser ride instead of the old hickory stick. It's safer for everyone involved. |

Man that is a whole lota EBT cards. Truly a marvel of the justice system. Carry on .Gov.

All the people saying it was a bad taze should realize the guy didn't crawl. They should also realize a tazing is many times more reversible than a shooting.

The guy did not comply with very reasonable commands, and zapping him prevented him from making further stupid decisions with relatively little risk to anyone. |

Quick! Fat guy walking! Light him up, oh light him up for the love of God! View Quote What do you think he should he have done? A) Got plowed by a 300lb dude that could have done serious damage unarmed, or outright killed him had he been armed? B) Shot the guy dead on the spot? Those were really his only two other choices I see, at least this way they both walked away relatively unharmed. Had the dude plowed him, like it looked like he was going to do, it would have escalated the situation and they would have been chasing a dude that had just assaulted an officer. I don't think he'd have received the same response then. He'd have been perceived as a legitimate threat and would have been lucky to walk away because it's likely he would have failed to comply with the subsequent officers as he did here. I have zero problem calling a spade a spade when it comes to LE overreach, but this looks like a good tase to me. Not being combative, just genuinely curious. |
