Guess who's gonna be building support for LE and coming down hard on crime?
Eric Greitens' wife robbed Sheena Greitens was sitting in her car after leaving a restaurant around 6:18 p.m. when a man opened her car door. Police said the man pointed a gun at Greitens and demanded her property, and she gave the suspect her laptop and cell phone.
... "If tonight's incident has done anything, it has only served to strengthen my—and our family's—resolve. We are, now more than ever, committed to the law enforcement officials who were by Sheena's side within minutes. We are, now more than ever, disturbed by the violence and chaos in our communities. And we are, now more than ever, focused on the mission of creating safer neighborhoods for all of our families and all of our children." View Quote |

The police were there in minutes. How useful. View Quote Though it's no fault of their own, LE will always be reactive in situations like this... no other way it can work without a 24x7 escort by your side. Why more people don't realize this and acknowledge the the importance of self-defense is completely beyond me. |

The whole "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away." phrase is intended to highlight exactly that. They can't be everywhere so you need to take responsibility for your own safety. |

i see your point. Every time I go there I think what a cool place, then I get to St Louis or KCMO and think how can this place be so messed up. One might I went for a walk from my hotel in downtown KCMO and came around the corner to a crime scene. There was a car run up on the convention center steps with the doors open and yellow blankets in it. I have never saw so many small safety cones with numbers scattered out in the street.

You have that backwards. Between St Louis and KCMO is a great state. I feel sorry for the residents of STL & KCMO View Quote Well yes and no. While rural areas are better than the two biggest metropolitan areas of the state there are still a lot of heroin addicts around, thus burglaries abound. |

View Quote Calm the fuck down. I don't know what kind of butch linebacker type of woman you married, but not every woman is keen to carrying a gun or defending themselves in a robbery. Who says she didn't have a gun anyways? If they got the drop the gun stays put Mr. Norris. Good god. |

But those same beurocrats would rob us of the ability to shoot said armed robber because gunz r bad. Even though is armed robbers started getting shot a bunch....there would be a lot less armed robberies..... View Quote MO is generally moving in the right direction, though. We have a decent castle doctrine, and as of Jan. 1 move to quasi-Constitutional carry (can legally carry concealed anywhere you could formerly open carry). |
