I love going out for a drive in the middle of the night, before the roads are touched. They are so much fun to drive on. Nice and smooth, consistent, and low-sodium.

Some VP here has a fancy, expensive, BMW crossover thing. When he got stuck in the snow, I looked at his tires, and said you need to take off these half bald summer tires and spend some money on some real tires for the winter. I'm going to guess that he has more money than brains and is still running tires that look more like F1 rain tires than anything close to "all season", or "most season" tires.

Pennsylvania used to use that. Coal cinders. Worked well, was black so as soon as the sun hit it, it would warm up and start melting the ice. Made a mess of your vehicle, but it didn't speed up the rust. But, I guess too many stupid people moved to PA from surrounding states, and now they're using corrosion accelerator.

I saw two small doe Friday evening, a spike and a couple of does that stayed in thick brush on Saturday.

Might try to get out for the last day of rifle this weekend.

Can't wait for flint lock season.
