Y'all are all wrong. The best apple is the Albemarle Pippin.

I have about 15 different Apple trees on my property. Every year I change my opinion about which one is my favorite. Last year was Gala, this year is Rome. Next year who knows. I do like them all and they ate all free. I just made a ton of Apple Butter out of Cortlands and it is awesome

We have a winesap.  It is very good.

But on a cool summer, nothing compares to my Cox's orange pippin.

Honeycrisp.  They are so good I eat one every day.  I never cared all that much for apples before.  Occasionally would get a really good red delicious.

I used to think Kiku were awesome.  Not so much anymore.

Cripps Pink/Pink Lady is very good for pies.  They don't get mushy when baked.
i think I have bough about ten new apple trees over the past year.  Jonagold is on of the varieties.

I've been getting really good Ambrosia apples the past couple of years.  I know, they're Canadian, but I can live with that.

Sorry, it is known.

I actually ate a crate of Jonagold last week and now just ate the first of many Honeycrisp and they're actually pretty close. Jonagold is just tartier and sweeter while being just as crisp.

I have to agree. They are seasonal around here, so Gala is my reasonably priced backup.

I don't know why anyone would buy Red Delicious.

Granny Smith, with Fuji, Ginger Gold and Honeycrisp all tied for the very close second.
