In 2009, Dems controlled 26 State Legislatures (Combined House/Senate). By 2016, only 11.
Starting in 2017, Republicans will have a trifecta control over 25 States (House/Senate/Governor)
We will have 33 Republican Governors.
We will hold 68 out of 99 State Legislative Bodies, plus the US House, US Senate and the Oval Office.
And for the foreseeable future, possibly the US Supreme Court as well.

The 2018 Mid-Terms will favor Republicans. Possibly giving us a Super Majority in the Senate.

Trumps win on Tuesday was far more than an upset against Clinton. We are in a power position that Republicans have rarely ever enjoyed in
modern politics. What we don't have is the media. Which means we need to work tirelessly to make the "Old Guard" irrelevant and obsolete.

We need to stay focused on a message of smaller government, more freedom and individual liberty, lower taxes, American prosperity and peace through strength.
The noise coming from the left is the death gurgles of a failed and dying Globalist ideology.
Forward fellow Patriot. To victory.

This has occurred to me before; FBO has pushed his agenda so fucking hard that he has poisoned the well.

No,it was Hillary and her DNC. The only thing more bigly than her cuntitude is her hubris.

Sanders would very likely have had better turnout and won 2 out of  WI,,MI,OH,PA.

Give it a few years before you declare the Democratic Party dead.  The same thing was said about the Republican party following the 2008 election.

Give it time.  Trump bent them over and cornholed them same as the Dems.

Why do you think Mitchell is being such a little bitch. Trump didn't cuddle first, he just grabbed him right by the pussy.

The real problem for the democrats is that once they started handing out free shit ( FDR) AKA our tax money to "the needy" they had to keep doing more and more of it.

Now, there is no more "other people's money" to grab and give away. We have had enough of being legally robbed. And spit on!

The GOP was ejected from the WH, and reduced to minority status in the House and Senate, at the conclusion of both failed Bush presidencies.

at a party meeting on Thursday, a staffer named Zach yelled at Donna Brazile, who took over as chair following the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz this summer.

"Why should we trust you as chair to lead us through this?" he said, according to HuffPo's Jennifer Bendery. He went on to accuse Brazile of having "backed a flawed candidate," Hillary Clinton, and having "plotted through this to support your own gain and yourself."

"You are part of the problem," Zach reportedly said.

The unintended consequences of embracing Marxism and socialism in the sixty and seventies.

They thought they could control it.  Thought they could use them to keep themselves in power.

The problem is that you can't control things in a democracy. You can only influence them.  When you lose your influencing power, in this case free stuff, they don't do what you want anymore.  They also tried to dilute and steer the message by saying they represented (and actually care) about the LGBTblahblahblahblah folks.  The issue there is that trying accommodate every fringe and minority is impossible. Some of those issues and groups are naturally conflicting with each other

So now the old guard is stuck.

I've believed for awhile that the schism in the Republican party was a bit ahead of the one in the Democratic party. Looks like maybe that's playing out now.

The Republicans have a bench at this point, but no real star power leadership. The Democrats don't even have the bench, and the losses at the state levels really impose some hardship. Their most notable leaders are old.

I don't want to get too cocky though, because all it takes is another sweet talking ideologue to get the votes on the left. All you need is the right feels.

To be fair, the Dems could have run almost anyone else and won. They just picked the worst possible candidate to hand the nomination to. Lucky for us.
