Thins have getting froggy there again for the past week again.
I am hearing up to a couple hundred more arrests. What I am seeing is there were 16-20. They have gone back to cutting through wire and trying to take over the bridge again. This time they tried to charge/assault the police. Total arrests are up to 603 now The tribe expressed the face that they want the protestors gone and will bulldoze the place once they are displaced. Some new pics show a guard Avenger missile system placed on the hill over the protest. The optics on the system are being used to watch the protestors. http://www.inforum.com/news/4201676-national-guard-has-missile-launcher-deployed-near-dapl-protest-site |

You use what you got. Ever met a farmer? Because that is what a vast majority of the local guard members do or have done. Only thing better would be to clean the camp off of the land with the missiles that belong in it. The whole camp is criminal....everyone in it. They are too stupid to use the land the reservation has provided them as a base. So they trespass and vandalize on fed and private land. Pretty cool.
Now if they get too close to the bridge, the guard can just drop it. |

Does the ND guard have alternatives handy? Personally, I'd have left the M3 mounted. View Quote I was thinking it was the Javelin version, but it's the SAM/Stinger version, and unloaded. Where were these protesters when the EPA flooded that pristine river out west with heavy metals and other wonderful chemicals?
That river supplies a rez with drinking water too. Crickets. They can fuck off. Hypocrites. |

Load the tubes. Lets roll.
ETA; This last event with the protestors was at the drill pad. Shit's gonna get real if LE isn't there in time and they try to mix it up with the pipeline security detail guarding the site/equipment. |

Its a start!
The tribe has now demanded the protestors move off of the camp and is bull dozing the camp. http://www.inforum.com/news/4208723-clean-begins-dakota-pipeline-protest-camp |

Sadly they are not bulldozing the camp. Just cleaning out the trash. They are even working on a lease for a more permanent chunk of ground for the protestors.
|

Using their own logic against them!
Those involved said it was not an effort to destroy the camp, which sits on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers land, but a move to prevent waste contaminating water sources. Winning! |

Looks like they did. The protestors are going to be really pissed about that. |

The tribal members are concerned with what this has done to relations between the regular people and their neighbors. (the words used by a tribal member) Combine that with the backlash from the local and the new administration in Washington. There has been a lot of talk about withholding funding from the reservation until there is restitution of costs of the protest. Hence the sudden cooperation from Archambault and his lackeys. |

Corps directed to proceed with DAPL easement
Hoeven said Acting Secretary of the Army Robert Speer has directed the corps to proceed with an easement for the completion of the 1,172-mile crude oil pipeline. An environmental impact statement, which opponents of the pipeline had argued in favor of, is not likely to take place, said Don Canton, a spokesman for the senator. "They're just making sure they've got their ducks in row, and then they will likely approve the easement," Canton said. “This will enable the company to complete the project, which can and will be built with the necessary safety features to protect the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and others downstream," Hoeven said in a statement. The pipeline project has been stalled for months over opposition from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, which has expressed fears that a leak in the pipeline where it crosses the river would contaminate the water supply. This is the last approval needed to complete construction of the project and follows an executive order by President Donald Trump directing that reviews and approvals for the project be expedited, said Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D. View Quote |
