Local radio is saying the protestors were plead with yesterday to lift roadblocks and vacate the private land they have taken over. They refused.
This morning they were given one hour to vacate. They refused. They told police that many don't have mortgages, homes, family or any other reason to care whether or not they die standing their ground. The local radio is saying it is a large operation under way. I'm on my phone. But I will try to link when I can as it is reported. |

Tough to protest when you have a job/family/mortgage/responsibilities depending on you. |

Hope they round them all up and charge them all with criminal trespassing.

It's being reported 400 LEO and NG heading in to evict the trespassers and calls for backup.
I'm only hearing on talk radio. Nothing on TV news or newspaper sites yet. |

Paid protesters are there to get them worked up. Jesse Jackson is there to get publicity and money. Indians only care about government money and casino money. There is no need for them to get worked up about the pipeline. They are just useful idiots. |

Is it cold there yet?
One hose company could clear that area before lunch. |

It's got to be getting cold around those parts now. Routinely soak them down with a firehose and let mother nature do the rest.
EDIT: nevermind, these forums move fast. |

When the cold winds of November move in they will all leave, trust me you won't need a fire hose either.

Like I've been saying, I hope they bring out the bulldozers and level the camps, roadblocks, etc. Make mass arrests and maybe even hang some terrorism charges.

Just drove through yesterday. I thought they were on the main highway from bismarck but its the smaller highway along the river.
Was hoping to see some skull bashing. I did see they had razor wire along the area where the pipe runs under the road. Also about 20 police vehicles at Holiday Inn in Bismarck. Town was completely full and I finally got a room after calling roughly 10 hotels |

Yes, domestic terrorism. You know how the old enviro-terrorists were damaging/destroying equipment and property back in the day? These people have been doing the same. They've also been threatening security and LE, charging them on horseback, assaulting them, etc. Sure sounds like domestic terrorism to me. |

The whole thing is a shit sandwich. The pipeline company could have saved millions of dollars and countless man hours if they had just met with the tribal elders and greased the right palms, that's the way business is done with the tribes. Now LEO's and the system are being stretched thin and overworked responding to this mess. How many LEO's are tied up with this while real crime is taking place elsewhere? They also aren't winning hearts and minds when the pipeline company hires private security which consists of guys like this............ https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/5c/2a/3f/5c2a3ff2ca36c14d887704c269971ad8.jpg View Quote |
