But what if the big truck had knocked the brake-checker into the median?

Not trying to be mean or anything.

If most folks weren't so fucking dumb, I don't know what I'd have to think about.

Just think about how smart the average person is. Then think ... half the population is dumber than that.

That's not how averages work.

That truck is a big mode of transportation.

I'd venture to guess that 99.9% of people who get brake-checked deserved it.

No, of course not. But whenever I see it happen, it's always because the vehicle in back was riding ass or had their brights on.

I used to engage in roadway fuckery when I was young and dumb.  Now, I just want to get home in one piece.  I avoid everyone and every thing on the road.

You want past, go right ahead.  I'll get right out of your way.  It's all yours pal.

"Fuck that truck driver.

I wouldn't have brake checked, but there definitely would be some horn honking and flashing lights. Maybe a middle finger after a pass on the right."

Who may have responded to you(unjustifiably so)with gunfire. There are some crazy-ass truck drivers out here, and deescalating a volatile situation is the smart choice. Everything isn't always a dick-measuring contest, except for here in GD.

Came to post this. Concrete pump operators/ drivers are a interesting bunch. Most out here are 250lb+ muscle head, burly dudes with bad attitudes....After a full day on your feet pumping concrete, I wouldn't want to be pissing them off.

After you return from looking up the definitions of the terms "ellipsis" and "sarcasm", get back to us.

I don't know what ellipsis means in Hebrew, but in English, it's the mark of an end of an incomplete thought or missing phrase or meaning.

It does not mean "the proceeding was sarcasm."  While we DO need something like that in English, as of yet, it does not exist.

Everyone should have a dash cam and a rear facing cam as well. It's cheap insurance from all of the stupid drivers out there. I have forward facing cameras on both Jeeps but still need to buy a couple of rear facing ones. After seeing how it helped me with my wreck last year when someone pulled out in front of me, I highly recommend them.

Yup.

$200 per vehicle gets you very inexpensive insurance on that stuff.

There's got to be more to that video than the news story posted.   He cut the pump truck off and then immediately slammed on the brakes.  There must have been some sort of altercation before that to make the person do that.   It doesn't change the epic levels of stupidity of the SUV driver for doing what they did, but that video is not telling us everything that happened.   I'd be interested in seeing what happened prior to the cut off/brake check because people usually don't rage bad enough to do something that dumb unless something else occurred that made them snap.  (My bet is the pump truck cut them off so they whipped into the right line, rushed to get in front of them so they could "return the favor")

Who knows but my guess is the car was pissed the truck was in the left (pass) lane

It indicates a thought trailing off...

Since we don't have a Sarcasm Sans font to indicate sarcasm, we gotta work with the tools we have.
