For some, their soundtrack to the 80's couldn't be found on the radio at all. It was found in tiny dark clubs, advertised on black and white flyers announcing who, what, where and when. You name the band of that day, and I bet I saw them live. If you saw the first Ace Ventura movie, the scene of the death metal band? That was the Cameo Theater in Miami and the primary venue for all of it.
The Cro Mags crossed punk rock to metal and they did it better than anyone at the time. Saw them at the Roxy in NYC with Motorhead and lost my freaking mind. Cro-Mags - Street Justice The Bad Brains live was a sight to behold. This vid is not their typical backdrop of the graffiti covered smokey punk club I remember, but it's them, musically at their best. They were incredible. Bad brains Florida Live FULL SHOW PROSHOT HQ the BEST quallity 1987 Too many bands to list, you get the point, so I'll wrap it up with Blood For Blood covering the Wasted Youth classic "I ain't like you". They did a bang up job of it too. Blood for Blood - Ain't like you [HQ] [Lyrics] |
