I still have no idea why so many of you guys insist on watching cable news. I really don't get it. To me, it's entertainment for a demographic that doesn't fancy a good singin' contest. Except that your demographic actually seems to prefer watching entertainment that makes you madly angry. Again, I really don't get it. |

The guy who's inciting the closest thing to a revolution we'll probably see in our lifetimes, built on echoing the views of those coal miners and the rest of blue-collar America? Steve Wynn seems to have his head set pretty squarely on his shoulders, though I don't necessarily agree with all his views. But I've decided to start listening to smart people, regardless of their political position (or lack thereof). And, at least in the two or three interviews I've seen with him, Wynn makes a lot of sense. |

Steve Wynn has fought against the unions here in Las Vegas, and he contributes a lot to the economy here.
I remember when I first moved to Las Vegas, back in the late 70's I would see him greeting guests at the Golden Nugget. Even when it was disclosed that he exceeded what the unions wanted for his employees (i.e. wages, health care, family leave, and a myriad of other employee rights) the unions STILL protested him and his properties. He fought back and said FUCK YOU! All of his properties are union free and his employees are well taking care of. Also, give the guy a break because he is legally blind. |
