They are going to scream, and shout, and play the victim till you either give up, or walk away. They have no interest in discourse. The have no interest in dialogue. I was banned from my school's Facebook group (independent, student-run support group) for questioning the safe space mentality. The group admin found the husband of a hated (because she's tough) prof on the group, and got pissed because it "violated the safe space of the group." She was whipping up a lynch mob to write letters to the university, in an attempt to get the prof fired. Several of us objected to the idea of trying to damage someone's livelihood over a Facebook group, and we all got banned and blocked. These people are mentally ill. |
