I have been listening to this a lot recently, it helps.

Sorry i have not been around much.
Things have not been quite right for me since Orlando happened, just using it as a time reference, its been all down hill for a bit. summer was hot, aggravatingly hard to work on giant super dutys in the heat,
collapsed at work, twice, now have chronic Hypokalemia now, probably have a genetic kidney disorder, no surprise to me, things like that run in the family, so the next time spring rolls around im going back to the japanese or korean world, im just too fucking tiny to work on big fords, its killing me, literally, but o well,  the main things that have been wearing down on me recently is that i started out way too late, im 25 and still make 9$ an hour, as a peon lube tech, the economy around here is stagnant, i can hardly see or hear or write, which everyone i know especially at works complain about, its not my fault i was born fucking broken, so get fucking over it, and the old pontiacs i want are geting more, and more and more and more expensive, and i don't have a proper garage to maintain one any way, so i have settled to get a last year of a first gen Genesis G90/80 or 70 this is the time of the Korean car, just like it was for the Japanese from 85 to 2010, o well at least i have BP, hopefully i can turn things around next year and find peace in the shade.

Dude...this x100.

LP if I can make amends with the nemesis wifebot,,,ANYTHING is possible, including your health situation.  Indiana is a beautiful state, enjoy your liberty and scenery.  GD tends to crap on people, but we also rally when an arfcommer is low.  If you can get a security clearance, I can get you a interview at Atterbury or wherever we are staging and relocating one of our AVCATT suites.  Even if you can only push a broom, you'll bust out of the single digit wage rate.  A lot of our technicians are not prior service...

Buck up, but if you get a interview do not mention the whole brony thing. IM works dude,

ETA...if you are in Iowa, not Indiana I can still point you in the right direction.

Find another job or look at training to do something else. Talking about yourself as "broken" is bad way to deal with your problems. Talk to a different doc maybe?

Orlando was the moment most of the people I know from "back home" (Arkansas) went from "them's queers..." to "wait a sec... them's OUR queers!"

On another note... ever considered becoming a programmer? I'm self-taught, and have done very well for myself with the skillset.

The automotive repair industry made me miserable too. In all sincerity, consider a career change. It will make you happier and turn wrenching into a fun hobby instead of a dreadful occupation.

Damn man, hang in there. Wrenching on shit tuckers me out too, especially full size trucks, can't imagine doing it full-time. At least you are a contributing member of society, nothing to be ashamed of. You get up in the AM and go to work even though you may not want to. That's something to be proud of.

Shit will turn around.

Dude, you have your cross to bear like the rest of us. The only thing that's got the weight of that cross off of me in the last 35 years has been knowing I don't have to carry it by myself. When I finally learned to give that mess up to the Lord and let Him carry it, my burden lightened. Sure I still go through a lot of hell, but I know I'm getting through it it and won't be consumed by it. It makes my mind more at ease, and makes everything so much better. I still get down, and get scared, but I wind up again giving it to God, and there we go, He comes through, every time.

I will add you to my list of friends to pray for specifically.

I hope everything gets better for you and good things fall into your lap. Hang in there and keep fighting.
