Most guys around here, $20. My guy, $10 cause I have a CHL. He's a bit....lax...in his paperwork though so I expect he will only last till the first ATF inspection. Oh well, I'm doing my part and complying with the law. He's not receptive to advice, sooooo... View Quote Haha, nice dude. I had an old FFL i went to ages ago and he said if the feds ever came for his papers, his reply would be: "sorry they all burned up in a tragic fire" |

Just got a replacement rifle from Ruger a couple of weeks ago.
They initially suggested the local Gander Mountain who wanted $40. Found kitchen table FFL, Roliff Arms just outside of Kent who charged $15. Finally found a place that will make me buy lowers from PSA. Fuck Gander Mountain. $40 !?! No way. |
The guy I go to for mine charges $15 plus the $2 VA SP background check fee.
Most guys around here are $20-30, $5 goes to PA State Police for their PICS system (my guy charges $20 for the first and $5 for each additional when done at the same time).
When I was buying suppressors for everything I own I used to have them sent almost 2 hrs away from me for $15 transfers at Trop and I'd go pick them up 2-3 at a time to make the drive worth it, two local guys with class 3 charge $100/each for NFA, no discount for multiple transfers. |

Just curious. I have paid as low as $10, or as high as $35. I have heard about $50 in rural areas. Right now I have a pawnshop doing it for $25. Still hate adding that on, but it's cheaper than taxes. View Quote You pay the tax at the end of the year on all online purchases, when you file your income. It's the law. |
$25 now that I have finally have a dealer within 75 miles that isn't an asshat, I rarely buy brand new guns and none of the others will accept from an individual.

Included with my gun club membership. Actually not a bad deal if you buy NFA items yearly and shoot several times a month.
$10 for one, additional $5 for 2nd, 3rd, 4th (etc) purchase at once.
I bought 5 AR lowers at once because of that. |
My guy $15. He says anymore is theft. And the neat part is his wife usually has fresh baked cookies on hand for his customers. He also told me that there will be a huge fire is his storage shed when he finally calls it a day. His wife said: "I hope I go first so I won't have to haul all those boxes out to shed by myself." They are some of the nicest folks I've ever met.

I refuse to round up because the guy I deal with now charges only 5 DOLLARS!!!!! With a valid CHL. Which I have.
Ten Bucks . . . but you can only pick it up on Tuesday or Thursday . . . after 6 PM.
Works for me ! ! ! |
$10 to $25. Most places let you transfer as many guns as you want for that price
One shop does $10 transfers, title I only.
Another was doing $17 transfers, title I or II, but not sure if they still are doing title II that cheap. |
$100+ is normal for around here. There is one guy doing $35 but he's a bit difficult to access.
20/25$ with a buddy of mine. Not sure what he charges to other people. Probably 10

Local dealer I randomly found will do 4 guns on a form for $10.
1st $15
2nd+$5 3rd +$5 4th +$5 So four guns would be $30 out the door Just down the road is a place that does $65 ea. Same four guns $260... Guess where I go. |
Both local gun shops charge 50.00 per gun. The local bend and shaft (pawn shop), wants 10% of the purchase price of the gun.
The cheapest I have paid is 20 bucks, and that was 15 years ago, and the most is 50 bucks. I would drive 50 miles round trip for a dealer that charged 35.00. There is a new shop about 9 miles from me, that opened a year ago. He's a small shop, that's mostly like going to a mini gunshow, sans the jerky. Though, he does have MRE's. I sent some lowers to him as moth a test of PSA, as well as him. He charged me 20.20. Lowest I have paid in 15 years. |
