RIP Arnie

I saw him paired with Chi Chi Rodriguez once at the Legends Of Golf in Austin.

I forget what hole it was but Arnie was about to tee off and was doing his usual pre-swing waggle. Well, waggled too much and tapped the ball about 2 feet off of the tee.

Chi Chi found some clouds to look at, Arnie looked stricken, there was dead silence. Everyone found something else to look at. He re-teed and struck his drive. I don't recall if he counted the stroke.

RIP to The King.

ETA: 92 wins in the same era with Nicklaus, Snead, Player, etc.  That is saying something.

A true gentleman and pure class.

87, he had a good run and a great life.
Once of the reasons why we see golf on the tube today, although insanely boring.
