It is required. I have seen some stickers that peel off before the package reaches the final destination .

Companies can actually get some pretty big fines for not labeling the contents if they fall in that category.

Is a Hazardous Materials Label or Marking Required?
Yes, (until December 31, 2020) packages that meet the definition of Cartridges, small arms must be marked with the proper shipping name "Cartridges, small arms", and designated as "ORM-D". Materials marked "ORM-D" and shipped by UPS Ground within the 48 contiguous states, UPS Ground Intra-Oahu and Intra-Alaska do not require hazardous material shipping papers. This marking may either be in the form of an ORM-D sticker, or written by hand. If written by hand the letters "ORM-D" must be enclosed by a rectangle that is ¼" larger on each side than the designation "ORM-D". View Quote |

I ordered two of those BCGs that come with the free 120 rounds of xm193. so not even that much "Small arms Cartridges." http://<a href=https://c5.staticflickr.com/9/8253/29395002140_a8b70d35c6_b.jpg</a>Untitled by 1911xmd, on Flickr" /> View Quote Grow up, your ups man doesnt give a shit, beyond it was a heavy box. Whats the problem?
Is this your first time ordering ammo online? |

OP it sucks, we all do stupid stuff. This one is gonna be a little tender for a while.
I can't begin to tell you how much ammo "my buddy" has ordered through the internet. I have never seen one of his boxes without that sticker. Many have come from PSA. |
I'm waiting for OP to flip his shit when the Card he used to order it gets jacked.
Not sure if anyone brought this up, but IT'S REQUIRED FOR AMMO.
Now you won't be upset when you make your second order of ammo online. |
guess 1st time OP ordered or received AMMO that was shipped to him
OP, You just admitted to GD that you have never bought ammo before.

View Quote I've received ammo at least twice where it was not only NOT tagged ORM-D, the driver dropped it and ran back to his truck. No bothering to ring the doorbell, no knock. Only reason I knew it was there was the first time I heard an engine in front of my house and looked, and the second time I was online and saw tracking had updated to "delivered". ETA-now that I think of it, my CMP order wasn't ORM-D tagged, but there is a different label they used, can't remember what it was. |
