Drive whatever speed you want in whatever lane you want, but if you are overtaking another vehicle, move to the left. If you are being overtaken (your mirrors aren't just fit backing up, you know), then move to the right. |

I said in another thread if old folks are going slow on a 2 lane road it's whatever, I don't care. I'll poke along behind them without bitching.
On the highway or interstate, if you are in the left lane and blocking traffic, get the fuck out of the way. |

It's getting so bad on the interstate around here it's almost faster to stay in the far right lane.
Today for instance, driving in left lane on i75 folks hitting their breaks bumper to bumper, middle lane cars and trucks as far as you can see. I move over to the far right lane and there wasn't a car in front of or behind me for at least a 1/4 of a mile. Thank god school is back in session. |

I stay about 10% below the speed limit, but ONLY when I am in the left lane. Inclimate weather? 20% under.

I drove close to 20,000 miles in the last 3 months, and there wasn't too much left lane camping going on in most of the more rural states out west with 70-80mph speed limits. I was impressed.
Very smooth riding, people would automatically move back to the right lane after passing vehicles. Only issue was semi trucks trying to overtake each other going uphill. A truck going 55mph would try to overtake a 54mph truck and would spend what felt like forever clogging up the freeway. It was worse in and around cities imo. |
