I now have a Ruger American 30-06, a Ruger American .308, and a Ruger American .243.
Total bill: 550 plus tax. $170 each. Narrowly missed a Henry Marlin 45-70 for $280 and passed over a pile of 17hmr and 22s (Remington 597 for $80). ETA: store slugs grabbed two 30-06, I got no 308. ETA2: OP doesn't speak Fudd gun so I had the Marlin 45-70 listed as a Henry, which had caused much consternation and a little butthurt. |

Why the discount? Is the store closing or getting out of the gun market?

Damn that's a hell of a deal. Nice score! Now I get to figure out wtf to do with the same platform in 3 calibers. Lols Shoot them, then you'll have experience with the rifle type and those calibers. Then sell them for a profit. Deer season is coming up, so it's almost the season to buy other rifles cheap at Walmart for donor actions. |

Maybe I should go back and check the gun prices at my local WM. They had a big clearance rack of ammo two days ago, mostly shotshells though. Funny thing was they didn't have prices on anything so I kind of blew it of. |

Which 17hm2 guns?
I have 6-8 boxes of ammo but still need a gun for them |

Hell, shoot them and gift them or sell them for a few bucks profit at that price. (can't believe I just said sell any gun) You definitely scored on that deal. |

Damn man, I need to start watching my local walmarts for deals like that. As much as I'd like to have a better quality bolt gun, I'd jump on an American at that price in a heartbeat.
|

I'll be a pal and buy one off you for 250. Then it's like 2 for 300 ;)

It was one of those, "how much? Well I don't need them. But. Ah fuck it I'm on the way for one," that turned into, "Well one of each". A friend really wanted the 45-70 so I hung out and fondled it til he got there haha.

Damn. A .45-70 has been on my list for a while.
I don't even remember the last time I looked in a gun cabinet at Walmart. How do they have these marked? |

Does anyone else find it odd Walmart is dumping guns and ammo right before not only hunting season but also what will be a huge rush if Hillary wins? It doesn't make any sense unless they have received a heads up of what is coming in exchange for all those donations they have made to the democrats.

Can you post the receipt so we can have them price match at our stores?

They won't do that. I bought a mini14 for $320 and tried to get another Walmart to match and they said they don't match other Walmarts. Of course this was a few years ago. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I did it a few months back with a Mossberg 500 combo and Bushnell rangefinder. I also did it last year when some stores were clearing out those big cans of 9mm. A lot of guys did it with those $499 6920s. |
