I'm sure Geissele builds good shit but it's ridiculously expensive, especially for a guy that prefers heavy triggers and also Larue's story about how Geissele didn't reciprocate with business after he got hooked the fuck up with millions in govt business from Larue resonated with me. However, has Geissele disavowed that story or not?
Also, I'm one degree separated from a friend of Larue's. This guy is my best friend. We hunted and ate squirrels together as teens, partied as boot enlisted Marine/Sailor together, and have been best friends for 27 years. If he says Larue is an honest, awesome guy, that works for me. Disclaimer, Larue hasn't given me shit, and the MBT I did buy is going to go on a hunting AR build when I have the cash for a new build. Heavy triggers and saving your money for ammo FTW! |

Ha, I'm a slacker, I missed this thread, but the uptick in MBT orders over last couple of days is now explained.
When we introduced our MBT some 18 months ago, had somebody asked me how long I thought it was going to take become accepted in the marketplace ... I would have missed it by a mile. Who would have thought we'd get over 50% of the votes the market leader garners just 18 months later. Thanks gentlemen, now if I can only figure out barrels.

Kind of off subject from the original post and I might be alone here, but I like Nutnfancy and enjoy his vids. That said, he is not a manufacturer. He is not even a gunsmith. If I had to buy a rifle built by either LaRue or Nutnfancy, I'm going to go with the LaRue all day, ALL DAY, over Nutn's quirky experimenting. He's put together some weird stuff and has claimed that a franken gun he built was better than a factory SR-15. I think that it can be done, just not with parts that were donated to you.
