I am a University professor. One of only a few "conservative-libertarians" on campus. I post material to my social media accounts, my office door and my online blogs that regularly have SJW screaming for my job.
Fortunately tenure and academic freedom still means a little bit and I survive because of it. During the Trayvon Martin nastiness, black staff and faculty filled the President's office demanding that I be fired immediately for my public comments. I had some white staff and some students pulling me aside and hugging me for being their voice since they could not say anything. Even some administrators told me privately they supported me but could never say anything publically. A small group of minority untenured faculty quit the University over my continued employment and some athletic staff refused to be in the same room with me following the incident. Meanwhile 99% of the untenured/yearly faculty walk around like zombies terrified of saying anything offensive to anyone about anything. I will be wearing my Hillary for Prison 2016 tee shirt at our first University meeting this Fall :) |
