There's absolutely no doubt that in addition to publically giving his word and signing his name to his pledge to support the eventual Republican Party Candidate;  that he also gave his personal word and assurances in private to his donors as well.

Well  Smirking Ted Cruz lied to them and the chickens have come home to roost; he's now made himself despised, and rightfully so.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/sheldon-adelson-republican-convention-2016-225814

Adelson raised hopes among Trump’s allies when he signaled that he might donate as much as $100 million or more to super PACs supporting Trump’s White House bid, which has failed to attract support from most of the party’s top donors.

GOP finance circles have been buzzing about when — or if — the check would come, and to which of the competing super PACs it would be written. And several GOP fundraisers told POLITICO that Adelson, a hawkish supporter of Israel and Jewish causes, may have been discouraged by recent Trump missteps, including his campaign’s Tweet featuring a Star of David inscribed with text declaring Hillary Clinton the “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever,” superimposed over a pile of money. Trump claimed the six-sided star was meant to represent a sheriff's badge.

But on Monday, when Adelson pulled up to the city’s Public Auditorium and Conference Center for a foreign policy discussion hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition, he ignored a question about the controversial tweet and also one about when he was going to donate to help Trump.

Muh Israel!

It was a convention thing.. Cruz people had tried to derail the convention by forcing votes on a "conscience clause", that would have basically created a contested convention, despite Trump having over 1700 delegates, 1237 being needed to secure the nomination.

When Cruz said vote your conscience, The delegates who were still pissed about the conscience clause bullshit attempted by the Cruz earlier in the convention, started to chant "Endorse Trump", something Cruz would not do, and thus was roundly booed of the stage.

Isnt it funny?

The Trumpettes are furious that Cruz didnt come out and say "I endorse Donald Trump".  Trump attacked Cruz's wife and father but hey, that's just politics.

Meanwhile, Cruz has been beaten and Trump is the nominee.  That's not enough.  They have to pile on and keep attacking and are hopeful that he loses his Senate seat two years from now.  and why?  Because they say he lied?  Trump admitted lying about Cruz's father.  Where is the outrage over that?

I thought, based on what they told me, that we had to go with Trump because Hillary was worse.  What choice do we have?  Cruz is no danger to Trump whatsoever and yet they want him gone from the Senate.  I can only conclude that it is because they know Cruz will try to block things that Trump has been supporting.  Things like denying citizens the right to purchase firearms who are on the No Fly List or warrantless surveillance or healthcare mandates or raising the minimum wage

Its not that Trump is the lesser of two evils to them.  They want this agenda to succeed.  Having a conservative in the senate with a history of filibustering an overreaching government doesnt help that

This is effing pathetic. If Hillary wins this Fall, I will point to Trump's inability to pivot his campaign to target Hillary as the reason. Is Hilldog kicking Bernie now that she's the nominee? Nope.

Naturally we all lose, so it's not like I'll feel great about it.

All this because Trump personally slagged Cruz and his family, and then unreasonably expected complete obeisance. Cruz's speech was excellent, only worthy of anger if you Trumpers don't believe your candidate is the people's "conscientious" vote. Which says a lot about how weak you think your candidate is.

I've never seen such fear in the supporters of the actual nominee. Buyer's remorse?

Cruz branded himself as being untrustworthy right in the middle of his forehead.

Anyone who doesnt realize that in private, face to face conversations,  Lyin Ted Cruz looked them straight in the eye and personally gave his worthless word to his largest donors and supporters,  doesn't understand a damn thing about what goes on in politics.

Of course that won't stop them from sharing their precious insights on Internet message boards.

Lyin' Ted on the other hand, was booed off the stage and dumped by his most ardent and important supporters and donors because he lied and broke his word as well as his signed pledge.

I'll give Manafort the credit he deserves for destroying Cruz at the convention. Well played.

Woah hoss, I'm agreeing with you.  My point is that posts such as yours are ignored because they're inconvenient to those whose depth of knowledge doesn't extend much beyond campaign slogans that are easily regurgitated.

Not to mention at that breakfest speech he was cheered and given a standing ovation, (I watched it C-SPAN.) At this point Trump supporters are going to directly be responsible for Hillary winning.

As I've said, both sides are guilty and both sides need to knock it off unless you want Hillary

Then stop taking about him. We need to be focused on defeating Hillary.

Indeed it was; all the booing, yelling and hissing at Smirking Ted Cruz  was,  in fact, a phoney sound effect cleverly inserted by the Bildeburgers to make Cruz sound like a petty and untrustworthy asshole.

Great speech; the part where Cruz kept to his own word and pledge was covered up by fake booing which was  inserted into the live feed by the Lizardmen.

And what did he accomplish, besides giving rambling speeches about freedom to empty chambers?

Everyone fucking hates Ted.

You have to be able to shore up support to get shit done in DC, not piss off everyone you work with.

Guy had little to no friends to start with, he might as well pull a Rubio and just hang out at home for the rest of his term.

Woohoo!!!!!

The Senator with the 2nd highest Conservative rating in the senate may not be able to fund his reelection.

Now we can finally usher in more congressmen like Trump has supported like McConnell and Boehner.

The absolute joy that some take in the possible defeat of the most aggressive defender of 2A rights on Capitoi Hill never ceases to amaze me.

That's about the only time he showed up. His voting attendance record is embarrassing. It's obvious that he was using his position as Senator as nothing more than a stepping stone to the White House. Now he looks like a spoiled little bitch that didn't get his way.

You mean besides the Dangerous and unusual language in heller, helping to put Roberts on the supreme court,  and trying to pass fast track trade authority on TPP?

I'll grant you he says nice things. If words were deeds, he'd be something special.

Buyer's remorse?

dude your shitting a brick because Trump talked about Cruz for five minutes. there are several other threads on that topic.

This thread is about donors being pissed that holy Ted's word is worth roughly the brick you are shitting because Trump talked about Cruz for five minutes..

I'm "shitting a brick" because Orange Julius Caesar is driving his campaign using the rear view mirror to back over Cruz's now-over campaign instead of focusing on the real target, his buddy Hillary.

Well, thank goodness that isn't happening anywhere except inside your head.

If by "your head" you mean "every Trump thread in GD", right on.
