I think we're going to end up with two basic types of threads. Call out threads (which have specific rules, mostly focused on trying to keep the thread from stepping on its own dick) and general bitch threads (i.e. threads a little too wild for GD). Bcauz3y called out a group of people without naming them, inviting them, or declaring any structure for working things out. Which meant it devolved into a bitch thread about how to sign up for and track CW events.
We're still sorting it out and may adjust things a slight bit. For example, if all the inflammatory political threads got dumped into the Pit instead of left in GD, it might at least cut down on the volume because you could say what you really wanted to say in the Pit. On the other hand, they might really spin out of control.

On the other hand, we'd probably have to hire contract labor to help mod the forum.
On second thought, I have no compunctions about mercilessly locking redundant threads so we could have 1 Trump thread, 1 NeverTrump thread, 1 IvotedforsomeoneelseandnowI'mbitchyaboutTrump thread, and 1 ProHillary thread for FedDC and all the other bootlickers (that's humor for the humorless). 
It would be even more entertaining if you could only post in ONE political thread. Posting in another would get you a timeout and your post deleted.
