The fact is that liberal, left-leaning media outlets conduct what are referred to as "push polls" where they construct the questions in such a way as to favor the position they want. There are very few "independent" polls and virtually all of those are showing Trump with a statistically significant lead. It's not going to be a cakewalk by any stretch. There is the Dimocrat machine, the leftist media, the super-pacs, and, most importantly, the GOPe all wanting Trump to lose.
In both 2008 and 2012, the independent polls were showing the races as very close. So, it's not a huge surprise that Ocommie won. There was also the issue of rampant voter fraud which, while discovered, was not acted upon since there's no facility in the Constitution for dealing with it. So, look for that to also work against Trump since there were no consequences for it last two times. I do have this nagging feeling that there is so much animosity towards the "establishment", crony capitalism, and corruption, particularly of the FHRC variety, that Trump will cause a large number of people who heretofore have been passive bystanders in the political game to finally get off their couches and vote. I hear it in the conversations people have in all the travels I've been doing lately. I see it in the massive turnout for Trump's rallies. And, I do think the Brexit vote showed in a dramatic fashion that immigration and economic issues of the working class can, and will, result in a backlash, or, in this case, turning to the outsider to get things done. Note that if a lot of folks decide to go vote instead of sitting it out like usual, their numbers will NOT be reflected in the polls since they typically draw from people who voted in the last 1-3 election cycles. So, yes, "opinion" polls are not very good at predicting things they're not set up to predict. |

Trump will lose, and he will lose by a large margin. The only thing that's still to be seen is whether it will be the biggest margin in U.S. Presidential election history.

Martin Armstrong has computer models that have been nearly 100% accurate for decades. Here is what he wrote about the US election: "Many comments and emails are pouring in that our model correctly forecast BREXIT years in advance. Here is the picture for the next big chaos period — the US Presidential Election in November. You can see that 3 out of 4 models show a Republican victory. Two of these show 60%+, which is unheard of. What we have just seen in BREXIT is a prelude to the US election. People are very anti-establishment, anti-immigration, and fed up with stagnant wages thanks to rising taxation." https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/north_america/2016-u-s-presidential-election/brexit-one-of-four-all-showing-anti-establishment/ View Quote I pray this is correct. |

I pay attention to them but for the most part feel like most polls are biased for the following reasons:
Who is most likely to be sitting at home playing on their phones during work hours? Liberals, or conservatives? Who is most likely to answer unsolicited calls from anonymous people/phone numbers? Liberals, or conservatives? I know a few FSA types that can't resist answering their phones even when they know the call is from some bill collector trying to collect on their 87% interest payday loan that they're six months behind on and have no intention of paying. Personally, I almost always let all calls from unknown numbers go straight to the answering machine. I work from home a lot and can actually say I've never been involved in a political poll although I get several calls a week from "political groups", (as identified on caller ID which all go to the answering machine). |

I've been saying this for a while, there are just more Democrats than Republicans.
For Trump supporters, this is a tempting narrative to believe. But this simply isn’t so. The fact is there just are more Democrats out there than Republicans, and this has largely been the case at least since the New Deal. That obviously doesn’t mean Democrats always win, but it’s unwise to assume a pollster is biased because its sample included more Democrats than Republicans. |
