Maybe with something like on target software? I left the farm today and forgot to take my targets home. Was wanting to compare this group to previous ones.

5 shots, holes are .308", and target was at 100 yards.

Thanks.

100 yards?

You sure those black specs aren't unburned powder from shooting at a foot or two away?

Looks to be about an inch.
Need a micrometer to tell. (why is that phase in my head?)

Here, on my "100 yard" days, I'd just call that "close enough"
I am not Tier 1 material.

That's a 6" spread. You need more practice. Seriously, nice group. I wish I was that good.

Hardly, this group is nothing to brag about. This has to do with the fact that I don't have access to the target or the software to measure from home. But thanks.

Nice chootin'

Focus on your breathing.
It could tighten up the vertical spread

I measured my computer screen and you shot a 4.25" group. Pretty shitty if you ask me.

You obviously have some problems with your optic or ammo, maybe both.  Don't let it get your down, keep practicing and remember to use controlled breathing.

I doubt it. Unless it's one big hole it's not much to brag about

Doesn't seem like rocket science... Grab another sticker, enlarge screen until sticker on screen is same size and use your measurement device of choice.

What am I missing?

Well, is it of a known size like 1" or something?? You could use a .308 bullet over a hole, but wouldn't be as accurate.

I thought so too. It's actually not too bad, brass has gone 4 firings and pockets are still good. Primers are rounded and bolt doesn't stick. The 26" barrel plus suppressor helps get there of course.

Must be a relatively long throated chamber.

My 'hot' 168 grain load dances around 2800fps, but the brass is usually only good for three or four cycles until the pockets get too loose for my liking

Not too long, definitely shorter than a 700 chamber but not necessarily a Palma chamber either.

My load is 43.5gr IMR4064 with the 178 seated at 2.910" (010" off the lands.)

Very similar to my 175 grain (Sierra Matchking) load

Edit:  agreed, factory 700 throats are loooooooong
