Weber Genesis Silver A:

I've got stainless steel flavorizer bars and grates coming, plus a new Weber regulator and hose.

When all is said and done, with the new parts, and cover, I should be in it about $160.

I have the same grill, maybe 8+ years old. Works great minus the grates which needed to be replaced pretty quickly.

Nice!

I think the 2 burner will be fine for what I'm going to use it for.

I can't believe how much the Weber Spirit Chinese shit is going for.

Looks good. Mine is an older model nearing 20 years old. It is red enameled with three burners and wood for the side shelf and handle.

They are bulletproof if cared for.

Yeah, it's just there under the awning temporarily.

I'll move it to the railing before I cook anything with it.

Unfortunately my dinner pics will look like this:

You're gonna be happy. These Webers are excellant. I was looking for this model in particular based on what some friends told me. If you knew how cheap I am you would know how happy I am

Not to mention the food tastes great when grilled correctly.

Now what to do with 300lbs of charcoal?

It is missing the flavor bars that cover the burners.

If you don't get new bars you could have a grease fire.

I propane grill 90% of the time unless I can devote a weekend to the smoker.

You can't make pan sauce with a gas grill.

I have a perfectly good gas range in the house, no need for one on the outside.

Just funnin'

I've used both.  I switched back from propane to charcoal not because of the taste, but because I found it harder to keep a heavily-used propane grill reasonably clean (we grill around three times a week, year round). I'd rather scoop out some ash every session than scrape gunky goo from the inside of a propane grill.

I speak the truth.  As long as they arent cheap junk cast iron grates that flake off into your food, they're better than stainless.

But you've failed to take into account my never-ending laziness when it comes to cleaning and prepping the grates.

It may be too late as you've already ordered but there's a guy on eBay that sells SS flavorizor bars and grates made of 3/8" 304 stainless. I have them and not only are they cheaper than weber they are beefy as hell. His name is rcplanebuyer.

For the cover I'd get the cover on Amazon. The factory weber covers suck and are ridiculously expensive.

You should bury whatever that is in a time capsule to stump some future scientist 1000 yrs from now, trying to figure what it was and carbon dating it, which there is plenty of that.
