His movies are generally entertaining but every role he plays just screams...
ACTING! THANK YOU! Not natural at all. The one exception being Tropic Thunder. That was pretty fucking awesome. |

Here is something you should know about every character that Tom Cruise plays.
His character is the best. The best at everything. No incompetencies, no questions, no self-doubt. He is always the best. I blame Scientology. |

Greatest action movie star of all time. Prove me wrong.
Pro tip: you cant. |

I see your point but Cruise is no Wayne, Eastwood or Bogart. He just isn't.
Even when those guys were playing themselves you didn't see ACTING! Like I said, I enjoy his movies. I just have to put aside the whole ACTING! thing. |

View Quote eh--just a subjective thing, i guess. i don't see 'acting' at all when i watch cruise movies. he's a dweeby slimeball in edge of tomorrow, which is nothing like his characters in oblivion or magnolia, but he comes across as effortlessly natural in all those roles (at least to me). |

I like the guy, I like his films. He always seems respectful to people and seems to be fun around them ( Harrison ford Im looking at you)
Don't care what he believes. |

View Quote I thought he did a bang up job in Valkyrie, and I'm not much of a Cruise fan. It's the best movie he's done, IMO, but I haven't seen them all. |

Vanilla Sky sucked.
Eyes Wide Shut sucked. I like most of his movies. Sit down and shut your brain off and just be entertained. |
|
Wish I had the training he has had to prepare for his roles.
Impressive. The guy earns his keep. |
|
Cruise is awesomeness. For the times, when he made the big money movies. He is good. He has had a few flukes and tried to act. Other than that we like his movies.

Say what you want about Cruise's personal life, but that little bastard knows how to make an entertaining movie. Try to name a bad film in which Cruise was one of the two main actors. And by "bad" I don't mean simply "below average." I mean "a steaming pile of shit." http://i.imgur.com/A5v2PYF.gif View Quote My opinion of T.C. has changed a lot over the years. I consider him to pretty much be the best actor out there making films today...What defines it for me is when I see his movies I actually see the guy he is playing on screen, I don't see Tom Cruise playing a role. He also seems like a stand up guy based on his reaction to this video... |

He's clearly insane with the scientology. That Siri girl is certainly not his progeny. He treats his beards like shit. Anyone getting a medal of honor from that cult is a shitbag of the highest order. |

That was his best acting in my opinion. But even when those guys were just playing themselves it was more natural than Cruise and his "look at me act" stuff. |
