What happens if there are 8 justices for a time period and a vote comes to a tie? What is the process for dealing with a 4:4 tie on a matter before the supreme court?

I actually met him at Tommy D's restaurant in New London, CT. SS guys came in first and asked us if we were carrying, I said yes, and had an escort all night, but was able to meet him and have a polite conversation. We'll see what happens with the court, doesn't bode well... |

The administration has someone on standby, will be announced within a few weeks and confirmed after several months. Its a toss up with the senate if they will confirm, some of the obama bots there have been salivating for a moment like this, others who are now questioning the administration might be hesitant.
